No LDS can complain about attacks in the telestial but even there, there must be some form of civility toward other posters...we are after all, all human, respect would be nice.
Oh yea, and welcome Liz!
A. I add my welcome to Liz.
B. Respect is something earned.
C. Civility is in the eye of the beholder.
B. Respect is not earned by given, as one gives respect to a new born infant.
C. Civility is the art of being human, to develop a more fully human concsiousness.
Nice to talk with again Bryan!
Nice talking to you as well, but I disagree entirely with what you are saying.
Respect is always earned, never given. And in the few cases where it is given, I see something sinister.
And I'll repeat myself again, but civility is in the eye of the beholder.
Congrats, dear. I know you'll do just fine. I think it's a good thing for the board to have you on as a mod, and it'll make the LDS natives feel more at home, I'm sure. :-)
Each one has to find his peace from within. And peace to be real must be unaffected by outside circumstances. -Ghandi

Hmmm...I don't know about that. According to the LDS folks on MAD, I'm a critic. I'm not, but I'm not a "fundie", either.

Uncle Dale, I have missed your posts as well. You are a veritable fount of fun information and wisdom. Alas, I was a casualty of the November banishments at FAIR, although I have been told that I am now listed as a regular member of MAD.

Unfortunately if civility is in the eye of the beholder, we would have uncivil societies since no definition of civility would be possible. And if respect must be earned, how can we respect the people who pass us on the street or the people that we deal with during the day? You are giving us a society of human emotional chaos with your statements.
