Hi Wade,
Asbestosman has the answer. The MAD Mods intend to come down harder on the critics, and have stated as much. I managed to make 3435 in about 17 months without getting Q'd, suspended, or banned. I've also had an account on this board for about 6 months. I haven't changed my posting style, yet here I am on suspension for asking Dr. Peterson a yes/no question that sorta' put him on the spot. The MAD Mods have changed their attitude, that's all.
I can see how that would explain your own suspension at this point in time. However, I don't see how it explains why you were able to last there for 19 months, and up until recently, when others have been banned from there for quite some time.
What I am trying to draw attention to is the seeming disparity between your's and sethbag's more successful, though far from perfect, attitude and behavior at MA&D, and the less functional attitudes and behaviors of others here. You have been able to demonstrate a greater ability to get along with, or at least not repel, those with differing opinions from your own. That is somewhat to your and sethbag's credit, and something others of us may learn from.
It also gives indication of how one may avoid even the kinds of things that got you and sethbag suspended--assuming that is what one wants (and judging from the obsession of some for the goings-on at MA&D, that is of utmost importance).
Thanks, -Wade Englund-
Dude, until you can show why most of us were banned from MAD, lay off the holier-than-thou bullsh!t. Nobody's buyin it.
Edit - I've figured out who you are! You're MDB's version of Charity! It's perfect!
Sir or Ms., there is no need for you to "act out". It merely serves to unwittingly reinforce what I have said. ;-)

Amen, WK.
Wade: you have been saying for months now that you are somehow able (via your Power of Discernment, perhaps?) to "pick out" the reasons why posters such as myself, Rollo, WK, Pokatator, Moksha, Harmony, Kevin Graham, and many others have been banned from MAD. What is the reason, Wade? Why won't you tell us? You have said elsewhere that you want us all to somehow magically "figure it out on our own." Well, enough already! Tell us! Tell us why we were banned, Wade! Or are you incapable of doing that?
My concern over the last several months hasn't been so much with the specific and respective reasons you each may have been banned. Rather, I am more concerned with what I see as a pattern of dysfunctional or anti-social behavior manifest by certain participants here over those several months (which may give some indication of at least some reasons for the bannings). I have attempted to convey those concerns, both in general and specifics, but the minds of many of you have been completely closed. So, yes, to some degree, and in that way, I have been incapable of "doing that".

Wade,
Can you link us to conversations you've had with believers in which you attempt to get them to also take responsibility for their own dysfunctional and anti-social behavior?
Thanks in advance.
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.
Oh, and in regards to the thread in question, I didn't notice anyone providing serious examples of how LDS belief is misrepresented in the film. Did I miss it?

Oh please. Every one of your posts is dripping with self-righteous attacks on critics. You could say i'm just 'mirroring'.

Still waiting for Will to back this up...

Pick from any one of my threads and post here that dealt with that subject matter, and you will find me speaking specifically about myself, as a believer, taking responsibility for my dysfunctional and anti-social behavior. Will that suffice?
Please also keep in mind that there are believers here to whom my oft generic comments would apply to as well.
Please also keep in mind that I was banned/queued from FAIR for attempting to do what I have been doing here, and since the critics predominate on this board, whereas the opposite seem true there, my comments overall have unavoidably been directed at the critics with whom I have had open access--though I have slipped in a few posts at MA&D that fit your request (I just don't wish to take the time searching for them, particularly since it isn't relevant to me helping you and others here).

Perhaps you may not be aware, but you don't help your case by projecting. ;-)

You're right. I don't need any help making my case. You do it quite well on your own. It's just hard sometimes to see it in yourself, so I thought you might need a little help.

No it will not suffice, because you didn't address the question.

Sethbag, I'm so sorry you got dinged. Unfortunately, I'm not going to tell you they were out of line. You've got to be really careful when discussing anything to do with the temple, not just quotes but alluding to things that are not mentioned in any of the published works on the temple. While MADB might let a TBM slip up, they won't let a critic. I wouldn't be surprised if discussing temple content on this board could also get a poster banned from MADB since they monitor this board. Temple stuff is a hot-button issue and if in doubt, leave it out.
I'm glad they didn't ban you--someone there must like you..maybe it's your cute "Brian" avatar. You notice TheDude was also suspended rather than banned--he's got that hunky Jeff Bridges in his avatar:)
Maybe if Runtu/Notquiteme hadn't chosen a "fop" for his avatar, he would have been spared. Runtu, if they ever let you back, choose someone a little more macho and see if they treat you differently:)
