Is it me, or are the Mad Boards getting really boring?

I don't read it much unless someone referencees a thread on this board. Whenever, I begin reading the thread in question...my brain starts to shut down due to the monotony of the dialogue. I'd have to say it's getting boring, yes.

I don't think it's gotten there quite yet, but it would seem that the new MABD is tending to become something of an echo chamber. To be honest, I don't think that's what either the mods or the regular posters want.

Most of the current threads are highly discourse specific--i.e., only LDS would care about their content. There are a few that have garnered critical interaction, but not many. It's fine I suppose to minimize critical interaction on a private message board, but, if such is the (unintended?) goal, then the site is in danger of losing its place as a clearinghouse for LDS-critic interaction.

Structurecop has started over here too. I vote in favor. The greatest part, is that it is impossible to be banned here.

Let the Secret Society of Cavernous Evil rain down midget poop (we can say "midget poop" here without repercussions -- just so you know).

The MAD board has not gotten boring but the topics which tend to come up often can be a rehearsal for a show that has been going on for 150 years. On an apologetic board, the same topics will show their heads every month or every other month. This would also include the same debate. Every LDS topic imaginable has now been discussed on FAIR/MAD. This itself will create a seemingly bored board.

What is now happening on MAD happens during a natural life span of a board. Life will pick up again when those who post regularly have the recharged battery to do so.
