I understand the joking tone, Nehor, but I'm still taken with your comment that you had talked to people and read about the temple oaths. It not only seems unusual to me, too, but I can't imagine what you had read that wouldn't have been considered an "anti-mormon" source.

I'm surprised they didn't get upset with you and try to convince you that you were lying, or had been in some sort of chemical-induced stupor during your time as a temple-going Mormon.

You have cool Mormon friends. If I were to tell my TBM friends about this, they'd tell me I was on something...and then give me a sermon on the Word of Wisdom.

Pay no attention to the jack Mormon.

He is not living the Gospel.

For starters, he is not married. He is blatantly ignoring the doctrine and the counsel of the lords currently annointed!

I wonder what other personal conduct in his life is contrary to established Mormon doctrine?

I wore a chainmail tie and a blue shirt to Sacrament Meeting today. Wow, I'm a bad, bad, boy.

Nehor:

"Mysteries of Godliness" By David John Buerger

Ah, a Signature Books publication. Well, I'm sure you know that many would consider anything under that imprimatur "anti" or at least suspicious.

Unlike PP, I wouldn't say "Jack", but it does sound like the slippery slope to me (and my bishops and seminary teachers)...

I am just applying the "rules" of Mormonism to a person who claims to be a devout member.

Nowhere have I found that it is a sin to be unmarried.

And anyway, you're trying your hardest to remedy that, right Nehor?

Not if he's in Utah, he's not.
