Lies we tell ourselves are hard to keep straight.

The testimony is a lie one tells yourself in order to cope with the Cognitive Dissonance forced upon you.

You have a "testimony" of the gospel NOT being true (which I do not question, nor think is wrong), does that mean that your testimony is a lie as well? A testimony is nothing more than why won believes something to be true.

I think those who's testimony holds stationary is because they are lukewarm in their faith to begin with. Testimonies that change show real spiritual trial, which is THE MAIN reason we are here right now. What hurts is to see someone's testimony change for something that may be worse, because they are in a trial as such that is altering their testimony as such. But sometimes people's testimony changes because they are learned new things and are growing spiritually.

So do you justify lying to yourself or are you just so incredibly gullible that you believe that faith can be modified from its original construct? Adding to a testimony while dropping the original concept (joe wasn't actually a nice guy, damn blacks got the priesthood ) is what happens.

I don't know what you just said has to deal w/what I just stated. All I stated was that any testimony is just the reasons why someone believes something. If you believe all testimonies are built upon, or is a lie, then anyone's is a lie. I am just trying to make sure this is what you were stating. Are all testimonies lies, or are you stipulating only LDS testimonies are lies?

See heres the thing, twit. I know POWERS of ten more that the church is bunk than your "knowledge" through testimony approach will ever prove to you. Your faith is a lie you tell yourself to fit in, feel better about your life, be accepted, whatever the hell it is that has you wrapped in the churches tentacled grasp. You tell yourself you feel better, that you are a better person but dep down you know that its a fraud and your just doing it to make sure noone gets hurt. Maybe your wife wanted to join and thinks its good for the kids so you have to come along for the ride.

Deep down you felt an emotional click because that's what the missionaries are good at creating. They are good at looking you in the eye and making you drink that koolaide asking you if you felt something. They lured you in and lied like I lied when I was a missionary.

"that's the spirit!!"

The Spirit? That could mean anything. The kids on your couch that told you about the light descending, yadayada, and then told you that BECAUSE you got emotional the church is true. B***s***.

They lie to you and that's what I was trained to do. Get this straight Nephi, I was a Mormon with a stronger testimony/case of Cognitive Dissonance then you will ever be psychologically able to have. I say this not as a boast but as a matter of fact. The tricks your brain plays on you are subtle and at the same time are obvious to a convert/exmo. If you cannot see the irony of the LDS church I will continue to laugh and lampoon you and others like you.

Mormonism is a social disease. Thanks for being a Vector, nephi.
