It's religion. It's not supposed to make sense.
Ooooh... Yah, people keep telling me that. :)
I suppose I don't understand how if something doesn't make sense that people believe it? I sort of assume that there is a WAY that it makes sense to someone... I guess not???

People are stupid. Including (us {edited}) me.
But I am stupid differently than any others.
- Whenever a poet or preacher, chief or wizard spouts gibberish, the human race spends centuries deciphering the message. - Umberto Eco - To assert that the earth revolves around the sun is as erroneous as to claim that Jesus was not born of a virgin. - Cardinal Bellarmine at the trial of Galilei

Simple. They just don't think about it enough to even realize that it doesn't make sense.
"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"

Again, simple. Mormons are taught that whatever their church teaches is true. Therefore, it need not be thought about. And if it is thought about, it needn't make sense, since it's automatically "true" by default.

Anyone truly interested in "Adam-God" must read this article. I'm only several pages into it and have already learned more about it than I have from years of following the debates on message boards. The issue is listed as number 55 here.
Thanks again to Mike for the suggestion. Good stuff.
