Okay, last time someone compared legalizing gay marriage with legalizing polygamy, Darth J jumped in and loudly proclaimed that they were two very separate issues. Darth J, are you planning on proclaiming it here for SteelHead here?
Just shortly ago I followed the links to read all about the Church's push for protecting religious liberty. You should be sure to respect the beliefs of others as well as your own I read. That sounds like good policy. It should apply to respecting the beliefs of homosexuals who believe they should marry.

The Mormons are convinced that marriage is a divine institution under the direct sanction of the Bible god and thereby they only qualify marriage if it's after the pattern set forth by their tradition via the Bible god. The Mormons are guilty of forcing their religious ideas that marriage is divine! Well, marriage is not necessarily divine to nonreligious people who view the Bible god as a turd in the toilet. Religion has no right to stuff their beliefs down the throats of everyone else. Marriage is not a divine sacrament to nonreligious people -- it's simply the union of two people who want to live together under the protections afforded by law.
All of this will come back to bite the Mormon church as its image continues to spiral downhill. Mormons are bigots and gay bashers. They refuse to apologize for anything because their heads are swollen with pride. The church is fit to be rolled up in piles and burned. It's an evil institution.
