Mike Parker says Neville is trying to blackmail him

My comment on Parker's blog that are questions he contradictions he can clear up and questions he can answer though I expect he will not publish my comment(s):

To me, that was clear evidence Parker acted like he was Nygren, until he was found out.

Bingo. He could have said, "Although there is some confusion regarding my identity, I will correct . . . . " Instead, he acts as though he is Richard Nygren.

Its likely someone will call you racist if you say much of anything about race these days. That he and his partners didn't realize that its not really Bill's problem, nor anyone elses. If that hurts his feelings, and he has half an awareness of anything beyond himself, he would have called his friend, whoever said it, and told him to correct the lie quickly. That he didn't do that, or something like it, also isn't Bill's fault.

Not only did he not do that, he acted as though he were Nygren. So, uh, yeah. That's a real problem.

It is definitely the behavior of someone who does not understand what you understand. It is the behavior of someone who is tone deaf at the very least.

Not at all. No misunderstanding. This is the Mopologetic tactic of misconstruing what your opponent does in the worst possible way. Bill is fair and objective in his handling of the Nygren issue, so Parker has a fit and dishonestly accuses Reel of doing something he did not do. This is because he knows his audience will not investigate and that they are eager to believe that an "anti-Mormon" would behave unfairly.

Someone should take Parker's computer and phone away for a while. He's going full Charlie Sheen: "Look what I'm dealing with, man, I'm dealing with fools and trolls!" "Boom, crush. Night, losers. Winning, duh."

- How can Parker be confident to "categorically state" that no one mentioned in Reel's video ever made a fake Nygren profile anywhere? Sure, they've all denied it. But can he be SO sure that Boylan never made one on the sly? Or Smoot? For that matter, how can Parker expect anyone to believe he didn't make a Nygren profile just for fun? After all, Parker DID respond directly to Pynakker's request for Richard Nygren to fix a mis-quote on NNL.

- Parker is 100% lying when he denies "Reel's spin that I or anyone else 'perpetuated a fictional black apologist'..." Uh, Mike Parker a.k.a. Peter Pan totally perpetuated the fictional identity of a black apologist named Richard Nygren. See the point above, which was documented very clearly and plainly in Reel's video. It was one of the most damning pieces of evidence in the whole video, and by the way it was Pynakker who brought that to Reel's attention.

- This bit from Parker is so ironic, I can't stop looking at it.

Just about every word of that sentence is false.

There were no “prominent members” of anything involved with the creation and maintaining of this blog; it was solely my idea, and I alone am responsible for it.

Does anyone else see the irony here? Mike Parker says everything Neville wrote somewhere is false, and then the next thing Mike Parker writes is a lie. He claims no one else was involved in the NNL blog, "I alone am responsible for it." Uh... Mike? What about Captain Hook, a.k.a. Stephen Smoot? Care to retract or revise your statement, sir? The parody writes itself.

- I am dying to see the language Louis Midgley and Dan Peterson use to support Mike's wonderful defense of anonymous online pseudonyms, "I’m afraid to tell him that many blogs are pseudonymous, many famous authors have written under pseudonyms, and even many early American Founders wrote pseudonymously." Pseudonyms for everyone!

- Parker blames Neville for not complaining sooner that NNL besmirches Neville's family name. And turns that legitimate complaint around to make Neville at fault, both for not complaining sooner, and for bringing it up now to "criticize" Parker. Classic bullying tactic. Doctor Scratch accurately predicted an unrepentant Parker.

This is the first time that Neville has alleged that the name Neville-Neville Land “ridicules [his] family name.” It’s strange that he’s waited this long to make an issue about it; this blog has existed for over four years, and only now he’s bringing this up? It seems to me that he’s desperately seeking some opportunity to criticize me.

- Hats off to Neville for making the offer to reconcile. Taking NNL offline SHOULD be done, because the whole site is a personal attack (starting with its name), and Neville is ready to let bygones be bygones. How can Mike, a self-proclaimed "latter-day saint" not see the invitation to deescalate and make amends here? Instead, like a good middle school bully, he takes the olive branch and shoves it in Neville's eye, calling Neville's offer "hypocrisy," "as he is clearly an unprincipled individual." How small.

This is likely the true reason. He did it for clout. I guess it will only come down if pressure is applied from the right source, eg the brethren. Those T.I.T.S. videos stayed up for a while, too, didn't they?

Parker’s defense re that “false” sentence had so many moments. I liked this one too:

So it’s “false” that Prominent members promoted the blog.

And his explanation of why it is “false” is that it is actually “true,” but it’s “true” …for reasons.

You really cannot make this stuff up.
