He hasn't gone mentally downhill, he's perfectly healthy. His ideas are a somewhat logical extension of his Mormon beliefs and his apologetics for the Mormon faith. He and "Big Serge" and company aren't all clinically insane. They have a tight cluster of conservative Christian beliefs that they take very seriously. His views don't represent a sick person, they represent a bad person. A person who has carefully chosen to be bad over the course of many steps in life.

That’s a dark, uncharitable view. I agree modern conservatism is mind-numbingly stupid and incredibly harmful, but I hope we can both agree that human redemption exists even for the worst of ‘em. Will probably isn’t a bad or evil dude, do you really think he is?
