Has anyone caught wind of an alleged campaign to flood the various review websites with negative reviews? The Afore is claiming that such a thing is happening, but where is he getting this?
I checked with friends who are vocal hardcore online critics of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They’re not aware of it. Perhaps someone here made a passing remark a year ago and the Proprietor printed and filed the comment in a creepy dossier.
How many times has the Proprietor reposted his complaints (multiple times!) from years back, and tried to represent them as ongoing issues? I'm sure that's what is happening.

He gets some kind of self worth from waging war with imaginary bogeymen.
Premise 1. Eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable.
Premise 2. The best evidence for the Book of Mormon is eyewitness testimony.
Conclusion. Therefore, the best evidence for the Book of Mormon is notoriously unreliable.

I think most of us here would welcome a well produced, captivating, and nuanced film about Mormonism. We all are enthralled by the religion and its stories. I would love for a film like Witnesses to go mainstream and be a historical blockbuster like Titanic.

But Dan has his hands tied, he has to make a movie that is more suited for the ward VHS library than suited for the typical moviegoer.

Would a more honest and forthright movie place Dr. Peterson in danger of being excommunicated under the new guidelines by President Oaks?

If it endangers the number of butts in seats at Mormon temples, I’m afraid so.

It's obvious the Afore is lying again in a desperate attempt to gain sympathy and get people to post fake positive reviews. There is a good reason why many call SeN the factory of fiction and falsehood.

Afore, if you can provide a CFR for this alleged campaign to flood various review websites with negative reviews, I will publicly apologize to you.

Maybe he hasn't yet noticed that you already did the one thing he asked for!
But I, we, would very much appreciate it if those who have actually seen the film would share their genuine reactions to it on social media and, when, the opportunities arise, on review websites. I’m hoping for honest reactions to the film itself...
Oh who am I kidding. I'm sure the Afore find a way to say he didn't really mean he wanted reviews from people whose opinions he can't control.

Thank you, Everybody Wang Chung!!

One can only hope a three year old arm snuck out to steal a biscuit during this scene of adults with their eyes closed, if only for comic relief.

A little Davey and Goliath action would have been amazing. What a missed opportunity.
Yes, that would've been hilarious! The Executive Producer did try his hand at comedy, but the scene fell flat.

The scene is at Brigham Young's wedding, where he tells his new bride that his is glad to be married and to finally have someone to help with the chickens and cows. BY's bride picks up a large vase filled with water and dumps it on BY's head and hand tailored wedding suit. Everyone at the wedding laughs and laughs. It was a strange attempt at humor. Unfortunately, the scene was just bizarre and awkward to watch. Nobody in the theater laughed.
Obviously inspired by the Hungarian goulash incident with Bill Maher.
Bill Maher. I had just begun my bowl of Hungarian goulash, and I resisted the temptation to pour it over his head.

... Yes, the "tongue" was definitely an actual language. To me it did sound Gaelic or even Aramaic. It was important for the Executive Producer to portray the "tongue" as a real language and not just gibberish...
Oh boy. If anyone has a clip, I'm happy to run it by my elderly Gaelic-speaking in-laws. They will be amused, I am sure.

Thank you!!

I ran it by my Irish SO, he says no, but then he only knows Gaelic curse words. He says the clip sounds like.. well. I can't exactly repeat what he said. I got the meaning, though, even though I don't speak Gaelic, as hand gestures and facial expressions go a long, long, long way.

When I'm sure it won't give my elderly, Gaelic-speaking great aunt a heart attack, I'll play it for her. She's even less mannered than my SO, however, so after the paint blisters off the walls and I stop laughing, I'll let you know her opinion.
