What a sad, ugly philosophy Mormons have been instilling into children for nearly two hundred years.drumdude wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2026 11:48 pm“Families can be separated forever, through heavenly father’s plan…”I Have Questions wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2026 10:58 pmMormonism is one of the few religions whose version of the afterlife guarantees that families will be separated from some family members for eternity.
It’s a great little primary song to scare children into staying Mormon.
I watched a video yesterday of a young man who was as awful as they come shot down by the police after he killed a rival. His mother, in tears, said something to the effect that she’d see him in Heaven someday.
Awful life aside, how beautiful is it that this woman, despite all her faults and struggles, and the faults and struggles her son endured and caused others, can still picture a reunion with the boy she loved in a glorious celestial home. It’s like holding onto a diamond in a sea of crap.
Meanwhile, Mormons can live a comparatively strict and law abiding life, ne’er a misdemeanor to be found, and still find themselves believing a son isn’t worthy to be with God in Special VIP Heaven because he drinks coffee.
I can’t honestly say who is more unwell.
