What base did you drive to?
You're looking for personal details about my life, and you're one of the moderators?

No, I'm not sharing any details about my life. You progressives are insane, and fibbers!
My post was in response to your question about personal details of my life. Were you as shocked at your own behavior as you were mine?
One only needs to return to page 18 of this thread to observe how this conversation began and read through to the present to see that among myself, Gadianton, and Wang Chung, I am the only one able to demonstrate that I was right! What adds to the uniqueness of this situation is that in my initial post, I mentioned being unclear on the specifics due to the time that has passed. However, after conducting thorough research, my posts are entirely accurate, while Wang Chung demonstrates an inability to utilize the internet for research!

Your progressive friends were mistaken; it's time to accept that reality!
I disagree. Anyone can find a particular historical detail that can be woven into a bit of fiction. The date of the first satellite transmission of a portion of a GC is one of those details. But as is often the case, someone using a detail for their fictional story may not have looked deeply enough at all of the facts of that day, leading to them running aground on additional details when questioned.

I see no reason to discount my explanation above. And you’ll have no ability to counter it. That’s just how this works out.

For everyone reading this, let's take a moment to assess the current state of our discussion. Canpakes, Wang Chung, and Marcus are struggling significantly, to the point where they seem inclined to fabricate excuses rather than acknowledge my victory and the losses of Gadianton and Wang Chung.

1. On page 18, I shared with Gadianton a memory from 50 years ago about taking my boys to watch conference and listening to a talk by Kimball. He spoke about how anyone following the restored gospel can become a God, and thus, terraformers, since a god in Mormonism creates his own worlds.

2. Then, similar to many of the less mature progressives on the board, Gadianton couldn't restrain himself; he had to label me a liar, implying that my statements were untrue.

3.At this stage, there are no dates provided, no discussion regarding the year Kimball's talk was delivered, and I am unaware of the title of the talk, the year, or whether it was part of the regular conference or a priesthood session. However, everything remains quite satisfactory.

4. On page 19, Wang Chung mentions that he believes the talk I'm considering is likely one given by Kimball in 1971 titled "Glimpses of Heaven." In a rather predictable manner, he shares a picture of an elderly man and claims that I am 90, despite having no knowledge about me.

5. I responded by stating that, to the best of my memory, it was likely between 1975 and 1977, as I recall a car seat during our drives to church.

6. Alright, this is where it becomes interesting. Wang Chung seems to lack an understanding of the internet, as he shares a number of incorrect details on the board, claiming that the church didn't install satellite dishes until 1981, which is simply not accurate. I was certainly perplexed because if his information is accurate, then my recollections are completely off.

7. So I searched for a few terms related to the talk I have in mind, and the information I found indicates that the Kimball talk I’m recalling was delivered in 1975. It was one of the first general conferences broadcast via satellite where i was living at that time. This indicates that Wang Chung's information was inaccurate.

8. On page 19, Wang Chung continues to assert that I am incorrect. Like many of the immature progressives on the board, he posts a picture of a giraffe eating popcorn, likely out of nervousness as he begins to realize that I am right and he has been proven wrong. However, there's more to come.

9. After conducting further research, I discovered on the official church website a page stating that the first satellite broadcasts occurred in 1967. Remarkably, the first audio and video satellite broadcasts were transmitted on the exact same day I referenced on page 18, when Gadianton accused me of lying! This indicates that I was right from the beginning, while the immature progressives were completely mistaken.

10. Alright, here’s where the progressives on the board realize that their progressive friends are mistaken, so they rush in to save the day and begin to gang up on me, attempting to intimidate me as they do with MG2.0. However, to their disappointment, I refuse to allow them to continue their falsehoods.

11. On page 20, Canpakes the moderator, also called Moe the main stooge, becomes involved in the situation, attempting to assist his somewhat immature progressive friends by posting a PDF or something related to the 1975 conference, which ultimately fails to benefit either side.

12. Then A-cup Marcus, unable to bear being excluded, posts something about the conference being on Friday or Saturday, essentially implying that I am a liar because I can't recall whether I attended church on a Friday or a Saturday 50 years ago.

13. Now that I have thoroughly countered the progressives on the board with factual evidence and they are unable to assist Gadianton or fibber Wang Chung, Canpakes, also called Moe or the #1 stooge, has resorted to posting on the board in desperation, requesting personal information from me. It is ironic that, as a moderator, he should be the last person asking anyone for such details.

14. Next, the anxious and awkward fibber Wang Chung remains nervous and embarrassed after his loss, prompting him to post another picture.

15. A-cup Marcus interjects once more in an effort to assist Wang Chung, but it's too late. Both he and Gadianton appear foolish, and the only option left is to apologize. However, progressives never offer apologies, so they concede defeat, realizing that one seasoned conservative Democrat has outmaneuvered five immature progressives who struggle to utilize the internet for basic information!

That’s a lot of writing. But, you still messed up on those details of where the satellite broadcast occurred. Yours is a nice story, but it’s not holding up.

Write more next time. Just because I want to see it. : )

St. Petersburg computers of the 1970s looked a bit like the grille work of a 1950s Buick. Much translation had to take place to get it to recognize pictures of President Kimble. Not sure why the Russians got into this project, other than they wanted to continue their past AI projects and perhaps as a favor to Donald Trump.

The Mormon "God" didn't even create MG, as intelligence is neither created nor made, neither can it be. …

… if you're going to describe your God in terms of the omnis as Mormons do and their scriptures do, they are subject to criticism if their labels don't actually fit.
A bit of clarification to an investigator seems reasonable. I’d request an explanation for how the “omnis” are limited in scope and don’t reconcile “turtles all the way down.”

Further, I’ve learned something about LDS thought regarding eternal intelligences, thank you. I see a contrast between this understanding of eternal uncreated intelligences (marking complete freedom from God?) and the biblical idea of union with God — God’s Spirit dwelling in you. The Book of Mormon seems to align with that biblical thought, but the JST specifically draws a distinction, perhaps pointing more toward an external change a believer embraces through persuasion of the “intelligence” rather than an internal transformation of heart.

How does the LDS church explain the difference between the biblical, Book of Mormon, JST, and other scripture regarding the “indwelling?”

Does LDS teaching see the “Spirit in the heart” as simply figurative, or is it understood as a different kind of presence than the biblical or Book of Mormon language suggests?

A few days ago I was thinking of the movie One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest. I have clear memories of scenes, the theater, who I saw it with and discussed it with. I checked release date and it was a year after that individual and separated living in different parts of the country. I rechecked the dates my memory has garbled details. I think my memory is generally good but it does not accept correction like this. The memory errors remain memories.
