Not only that but Oaks promoted himself to the smartest leader in Mormon history. Capable of reaching more entanglement with the great Elohim than any person who subjugated people of color.

Re: No Blacks Allowed!
Exactly.
Elder Oaks was another racist Mormon who supported his leaders in maintaining institutional racism. The idea of throwing future priesthood peanuts to the less valiant (darkies) with a promise that they can someday get the priesthood at a later date is Mormon rationalization at its finest and stinks to high heaven.
Let's be clear, New Testament Jesus never instituted a so-called priesthood ban. That is entirely a Mormon concept that was produced and maintained by a spirit of racism. I testify and know with all the feeling of my heart that Mormonism was and is corrupt. I know it as surely as the sun rises and shines each day.

It does make a difference because it proves that elder Oaks didn't give a hoot that Book of Mormon text specifically and authoritatively highlighted that *all* men may be qualified to receive the blessings of the gospel regardless of race, color, or national origin. The hypocrisy of racism in modern Mormonism is blatantly obvious and showcased how policies instituted through pride glorified white skin and denigrating black skin. Mormon racism was spiritually abhorrent and void of the love of God!MG 2.0 wrote: ↑Mon May 26, 2025 7:54 pmThe actual quote is:

Apologists, such as you, MG, are hypocrites and are blinded by the craftiness of men. YOU partake of that racism and seek to justify errors of Mormonism because you have a bad spirit about you. There are some good things contained in the teachings of the Book of Mormon and this is one of them:
Nephi wrote:He inviteth them all to come unto him and partake of his goodness; and he denieth none that come unto him, black and white, bond
and free, male and female; and he remembereth the heathen; and all are alike unto God, both Jew and Gentile.

Re: No Blacks Allowed!
It makes a difference to me in understanding that Christianity was all about lending the arm of salvation to *ALL* mankind, regardless of race, color, or national origin. Mormonism failed to fill that bill because Mormonism and Christianity are not the same thing.MG 2.0 wrote: ↑Mon May 26, 2025 7:54 pmJust a clarification. I want to share another beautiful statement given in the Book of Mormon that smacks the ugliness of President Brigham Young (nigger hater) on his sorry racist ass and proves how the Presidents of the Mormons church (prior to 1978) were men who loathed the idea of allowing blacks into their priesthood club.
I rebuke you, MG, in the name of Jesus Christ!

All men may hold the priesthood! Period!
Original Mormonism started out on the right foot but men like Brigham Young and racist Mormons who followed his unrighteous footsteps perverted Mormonism.
MG, you are a deceiver!
And, Bradley, I haven't forgotten you. You are a coward.
D&C 36, December 9, 1830 wrote:
1 Thus saith the Lord God, the Mighty One of Israel: Behold, I say unto you, my servant Edward, that you are blessed, and your sins are forgiven you, and you are called to preach my gospel as with the voice of a Trump;
2 And I will lay my hand upon you by the hand of my servant Sidney Rigdon, and you shall receive my Spirit, the Holy Ghost, even the Comforter, which shall teach you the peaceable things of the kingdom;
3 And you shall declare it with a loud voice, saying: Hosanna, blessed be the name of the most high God.
4 And now this calling and commandment give I unto you concerning all men—
5 That as many as shall come before my servants Sidney Rigdon and Joseph Smith, Jun., embracing this calling and commandment, shall be ordained and sent forth to preach the everlasting gospel among the nations—
6 Crying repentance, saying: Save yourselves from this untoward generation, and come forth out of the fire, hating even the garments spotted with the flesh.
7 And this commandment shall be given unto the elders of my church, that every man which will embrace it with singleness of heart may be ordained and sent forth, even as I have spoken.
8 I am Jesus Christ, the Son of God; wherefore, gird up your loins and I will suddenly come to my temple. Even so. Amen.
MG, you are a deceiver!

"And this is according to the oath and covenant which belongeth to the priesthood."
Out of the starting gate, it's apparent that Smith willingly allowed the gospel of salvation and priesthood to be made available to everyone. Biblical restrictions pertaining to salvation or priesthood were not adopted into Mormon revelations under Smith's tutelage. I see this expressed in the revelation given in D&C 84 given in 1832, and when reading the verses backwards, it becomes obvious that restrictions were not included or adopted into the restoration of the priesthood but the oath and covenant was to be embraced by ALL men, worldwide. No exceptions!
The restored gospel and priesthood is to be taken into all the world, which must include dark Africa:
The restored gospel and priesthood is to be taken into all the world, which must include dark Africa:
Every one (including Africans) must hearken and come to God:Verse 62 wrote:Therefore, go ye into all the world; and unto whatsoever place ye cannot go ye shall send, that the testimony may go from you into all the world unto every creature.
Everyone is entitled to the light of God:Verse 47 wrote:And every one that hearkeneth to the voice of the Spirit cometh unto God, even the Father.
All men are required to embrace the priesthood and wo to those who reject it:Verse 46 wrote:And the Spirit giveth light to every man that cometh into the world; and the Spirit enlighteneth every man through the world, that hearkeneth to the voice of the Spirit.
The oath and covenant of the priesthood is made available to all men:Verse 42 wrote:And wo unto all those who come not unto this priesthood which ye have received, which I now confirm upon you who are present this day, by mine own voice out of the heavens; and even I have given the heavenly hosts and mine angels charge concerning you.
The priesthood is an oath and covenant between God and every man who receives it:Verse 40 wrote:Therefore, all those who receive the priesthood, receive this oath and covenant of my Father, which he cannot break, neither can it be moved.
All men may receive the Father's kingdom through the oath and covenant:Verse 39 wrote:And this is according to the oath and covenant which belongeth to the priesthood.
A man must receive Christ in order to receive the Father:Verse 38 wrote:And he that receiveth my Father receiveth my Father’s kingdom; therefore all that my Father hath shall be given unto him.
A man must receive Joseph Smith's retoration in order to receive Christ:Verse 37 wrote:And he that receiveth me ("A revelation of Jesus Christ") receiveth my Father;
All men who receive the priesthood through the oath and covenant also receive the Lord:Verse 36 wrote:For he that receiveth my servants receiveth me;
In order for men (including Africans) to receive the full blessings of the kingdom, they must receive the oath and covenant of the priesthood:Verse 35 wrote:And also all they who receive this priesthood receive me, saith the Lord;
A faithful Priest & Elder is worthy of being sanctified by the Spirit:Verse 34 wrote:They become the sons of Moses and of Aaron and the seed of Abraham, and the church and kingdom, and the elect of God.
Men cannot witness the manifestation of the power of godliness unless they personally participate in the ordinances of the priesthood:Verse 33 wrote:For whoso is faithful unto the obtaining these two priesthoods of which I have spoken, and the magnifying their calling, are sanctified by the Spirit unto the renewing of their bodies.
All men, including African men, may experience the manifestation of godliness through exercising their priesthood:Verse 21 wrote:And without the ordinances thereof, and the authority of the priesthood, the power of godliness is not manifest unto men in the flesh;
There were no priesthood restrictions or ban for men who were of the African race under Joseph Smith's Presidency:Verse 20 wrote:Therefore, in the ordinances thereof, the power of godliness is manifest.
Then came Brigham Young and Mormon racism that was born out of hatred and pride.Official Declaration 2 wrote:The Book of Mormon teaches that “all are alike unto God,” including “black and white, bond and free, male and female” (2 Nephi 26:33). Throughout the history of the Church, people of every race and ethnicity in many countries have been baptized and have lived as faithful members of the Church. During Joseph Smith’s lifetime, a few black male members of the Church were ordained to the priesthood.

All men may hold the priesthood! Period!
Joseph Smith's revelations (D&C 20) proclaim how the restored gospel was to be taken to all the world and the priesthood was to be disseminated throughout the entire body of the church as a continuation of the New Testament church originally established by Jesus Christ. In general, previous Old Testament gospel restrictions under the law of Moses pertaining to priesthood or salvation were done away in Christ and salvation was made universal under a single head wherein the body of the Church was made one.
1) And we know that all men must repent and believe on the name of Jesus Christ, and worship the Father in his name
2) All those who humble themselves before God, and desire to be baptized, and come forth with broken hearts and contrite spirits . . . shall be received by baptism into his church.
3) Every elder, priest, teacher, or deacon is to be ordained according to the gifts and callings of God unto him
4) Every member of the church of Christ having children is to bring them unto the elders before the church, who are to lay their hands upon them in the name of Jesus Christ
Thus we see how all are alike and are entitled to receive the blessings of God in becoming one church under a single head. This echoes the teachings of Saint Paul who said: "From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love."
The gospel of Jesus Christ was about love and universal acceptance that God is no respecter of persons but salvation was made available to all -- none were to be excluded. That was the original Christian message from the New Testament but Mormonism through Brigham Young and his racist followers failed to implement a universal Christian love.

BE ONE
Jesus taught that mankind should be one and that all men are on the same playing field:
Then came racist Brigham Young who taught the Curse of Cain® doctrine which excludes black men from the white Mormon priesthood regardless and in spite of Jesus Christ having enabled salvation for the entire planet.
Brigham Young was NOT a Christian! He was antichrist!
What about you, Bradley, what are you?

Smith embraced this universal concept that all men were on equal grounds through the ministry and salvation of Christ:John 17:21 wrote:That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
D&C 38:27 wrote:I say unto you, be one; and if ye are not one ye are not mine.

Re: No Blacks Allowed!
If only the IRS and the Western Athletic Conference had given the Church an ultimatum back in 1968, it would have meant a great deal to me. Putting the Lord on the right track is a good thing; otherwise, the Church would still be fine with its old ways.MG 2.0 wrote: ↑Mon May 26, 2025 7:54 pm—as promised from the beginning of these restrictions—that the day would come when all would enjoy the blessings of priesthood and temple.
