Did he ask for it? Or did they already remove the fillings. If they already removed them then buying them at more than market price would be a NICE THING TO DO.

Since they had demonstrated personal sacrifice, the NICE THING TO DO would have been helping these poor folk get their gold fillings back in their mouths where they belonged. C'mon, that's pretty basic!

Do we know that they didn't replace them with less expensive fillings?

Didn't we discuss this a few months ago too?

It's pretty sick when you compare this story with the billion dollars being spent on a mall in downtown salt lake.

Does this seem like how god's one true church would be operating?

To Mormons the church IS the proper way for the brethren to behave. It is so because it is the church.

Yah, circular reasoning. I know.

Lets pop out one of your kidneys and give it to the church to sell. Now if you have any problem with this mey I remind you that you will have another one and that sacrifice is required to obtain exaltation.

The Church never had a problem accepting tithing from very succesful "Drug Lords" in Colombia.

I just don't get it. We're all paying this 10%, building our own temples, paying a budget. How much more do they need and where is it going? I like the idea of cleaning our own buildings but you and I both know that labor is ridiculously cheap anyway. Where is all this money going?

Faust purchased these fillings himself. Yet in a way these fillings went to pay Faust's salary (and his 5 star hotel travel budget) as well. Or did he get the money through the "honest" practice of law? To say the morality of all this is complex is quite an understatement.

Maybe some of the die hard LDS apologist here can help me. Why does the Church feel such a need to hide the money flow?

If the people felt they needed to pull out their fillings, that was a choice made on their own.

A choice they made which depended heavily on the church's influence over them. If the Church told them not to pull their fillings, they wouldn't have done it.
