I watch a lot of political shows and they talk about Mitt like he is a mere annoyance and not a serious contender and one mention of his religion and any good reporter will bury him so fast under relgious crapthat the Mormons will go into hiding. I have already Blog him to death on the various blogs I can find.

So yes they are so far behind the real world it it not even funny, well actually it is kinda funny at times.

I think Mitt my surprise you and many other. On the conservative talk shows and on Fox, he seems well liked, the Mormon issue is does not seem like a big issue and he seems to be gaining ground in conservative arenas. I know you hate him because he is a Mormon and you would really just be unhappy were he eleted but you woudl be foolish to count him out now. I think he has a long road but who knows.

This is going to sound morbid, but Monson was young when he became an apostle, but he is now 80 years old. Even 15 years ago when I was working at the COB, he was struggling with diabetes (for which he has been hospitalized more than once). He's obviously overweight (not helping the diabetes), so I honestly don't see him having a long term.

I'm not saying any of this because I wish him ill. I don't have any feelings one way or the other toward the man. My only firsthand experience with him was at the All-Church Coordinating Council meeting many years ago when he spoke about correlation. I was fascinated at how completely un-Monsonlike he was that day. No grandfatherly persona, no sing-song cadence, no pleasant stories. Nope, he was all business. I thought it was pretty cool to see that side of him.

Start throwing rocks now.

You are correct. With his illness he may not live longer. Then we will have President Packer or Perry.
