My suspicion is that they just did another clean sweep. They went through members who they had basically identified as critics who were posting on both MAD and here.
Even though your posts have always been very respectful, it's quite obvious that you are an ally of mine. That alone puts you in serious hot water. ;)

Sorry, my friend.
It's OK. Surprisingly enough, even after 4 years, it isn't really upsetting. I've made my feelings known about the atmosphere over there, and if they felt they didn't want me around, that's their prerogative.
I've tried to get along over there, and I thought I was pretty successful. Guess not. ;-)
I think they just couldn't forgive you for switching sides. Not only that, but your behavior exposes their own hypocrisy. They loved you when you were a polite believer asking for good behavior on both sides, but detested you when you did the same thing as a critic. Suddenly, you became a whiner.
I have to say, though, I see little logic in their latest batch of bannings. Maybe one of them suffers from a mood disorder.

I'm sorry you guys got the axe--it's nice to be able to find out what happened to you. On MADB, when someone doesn't post anymore, you have no idea why they are gone. I usually just assume they got busy or decided to quit the board.
I mentioned on another thread that I wonder if these bannings have something to do with a discussion in the Fellowship Forum. Some posters at MADB were feeling that the board had too many critics. It may be that the mods agreed and decided to cull a few in order to lower the numbers. I think that is a plausible explanation because as far as I observed, those who were banned were not breaking rules or even making obnoxious comments or pushing limits.

Just read that thread. Sounds like a bunch of old hens (meaning: charity, Morningstar) clucking their little hearts out.

Bond, it makes sense to me now. I was quite surprised that they were complaining about the critics because I'd been thinking the board had been pretty civil lately. We hadn't had too many threads closed and the TBM's weren't blowing their cools. I even had trouble coming up with a poster I thought was in actual danger of being banned.
What I was misreading was what they were seeing as the problem. I think what they were expressing was the frustration of feeling outnumbered.

Interesting that instead of taking the positive approach (recruiting more LDS posters), they took the negative approach (banning a few critics).
I don't understand. Why don't they just stay in the fellowship forum then? That's what the main board's going to turn into if they have their way.

Still waiting for Will to back this up...

It's obvious they aren't arborculturalists. Instead of planting trees they clear cut any tree that doesn't bear nuts.

overrun by critics? Good grief, the place was already one yawn away from sunday school. It also seems to me that the posters they banned didn't even post that frequently.
