Of course not. They're not going to tell you which statements are from god, and which are from 'men'. You gotta figure that one out for yourself. ;) Gotta keep you guessing.

It's more like a 'cover your ass' in hindsight type of thing in my opinion.

I agree ...

Here is the way I see it:

Rather than go with the idea, as I did, that doctrine means something is true, or that the church teaches actual truth, one must go with the idea that doctrine is the "teachings of the time," or the "opinions of the current leader."

I think it makes a lot more sense.
