Birds of a feather.
Maybe, or maybe Hammer needed a ministering angel to relate something and Joseph was next in line.

I have no idea whether this happened to Hammer or not.

You're too kind. You're character is top notch and you have my respect. But it prevents you from calling this spade a spade.

He says it's a spade. You say it's a club. I haven't seen the card. You haven't either. I don't know Hammer well enough to judge whether he would lie about this. So, I have no idea. I've believed much more 'out there' stories, had a few of my own, and discounted many as well. Most I just have no idea.

Nehor, what does your gut tell you? (If it's not too personal). I'm not saying what's the most politically correct answer while everyones looking at you. I mean, what's your rock bottom, hard core gut tell you about a guy, living today, who claims to have seen/visited with Joseph Smith?

It tells me nothing. Having experienced things that are much more weird than that I know they happen. I worry that he would share it openly but at the same time I've slipped too. So, no idea. Don't really care enough to study it out and receive divine insight.

I think you're guessing though. Unless you've met someone who has had such an experience with God you have no idea what such an encounter would do.
Well, I have met people who believe they have achieved, experienced Moksha, and they are not your ordinary type of folk.... not at all. More like Christ...

I've met a few people who through near death experiences believe they have experienced the divine realm, and yes their lives are forever changed.

And I have met folks who in my opinion reflect the beauty and teachings of Jesus...

I see a pattern.

A spade, a club, a hammer. They can all be used as a weapon.

I have had wierd experiences. I have seen many things I don't understand that are there. I have had telepathic and foretelling experiences. But I don't see what the heck this thread is about. Just because one person does does not rule out another persons. To be honest does it really matter is hammer saw Joseph Smith or not. I would be scared of seeing Joseph Smith.

No, I thought that was rather abrupt.

Seriously, I wasn't sure what you were trying to say. I don't believe you're gut (as it were) doesn't tell you anything. I just think you're being nice to the guy as if he were here .... or you know him. Do you know him?
