The contraction [at the Maxwell Institute] began almost a decade ago under Noel Reynolds, who realized that it was no longer (and never really was) feasible to operate the Institute with strategic deficit year on year. Since that time we have been trying desperately to work within our means. Through a combination of natural attrition and Reduction in Force decisions (all painfully and reluctantly made), we are almost there.
Yes: this was certainly interesting: “strategic deficit”? And wasn’t Reynolds preceded in this role by Dr. Peterson?
"If, while hoping that everybody else will be honest and so forth, I can personally prosper through unethical and immoral acts without being detected and without risk, why should I not?." --Daniel Peterson, 6/4/14
I don't understand why you are quoting me - your comment is totally unrelated to mine, or to the comment I quoted.
Perhaps you're in the wrong thread?
I didn’t intend to quote you specifically. Mike Parker was in the quote. my apologies.
But seriously? None of you know FARMS ripped off the Two Cumorah Meso theory from 100-year old books from Missouri? Book of Mormon Central, Interpreter Foundation, FAIRLDS are run by the biggest con artists. Why do you think they live in Utah County, while claiming Meso is The Land of Promise? Why don’t they up and move to the Yucatan? It’s to fleece an area with a large concentration of members and using BYU as an academic front.
That’s why they’re angry at Heartlanders..they don’t want to lose their 501(c)(3) tax-free donations. Snake oil salesmen.
The entire history of these “adults,” their contention with the MI, being fired, kicked out, etc. etc. is all about $$$ and promoting fakery.

I didn’t know. I suspect because you’ve brought a really interesting bit of Mormon history to the board is the reason why most don’t give you the business too much. Whatever the case my be, you’ve done an excellent job at demonstrating who these people are, and provided yet another example of their sociopathy. They’ve been paid to prop up the Brighamite branch of Mormonism, and have demonstrated they’ll go to great lengths to whip up narratives that completely contradict anything church founders preached or published.
