I'm not lying when I say that I believe that the CofJCofLDS offers the path to exaltation in the Celestial Kingdom of God.

The Church website defines lying as "Any communication of falsehood or untruth for the purpose of deception."

YOU know full well the three (3) points I mentioned above regarding Facsimile No. 3 (revelation produced and published by Joseph Smith) are lies. They are NOT true. Joseph Smith knew it, you know it, I know it, and God knows it. Those lies tendered by a the founder of your cult is proof that it does NOT offer a path to so-called exaltation as defined by lying Mormon scripture. Lying is hardly a straight gate founded on truth but is a path that leads awry and is founded in shame.

It really is that simple. It either is or it isn't.

It isn't, you liar!

• King Pharaoh, whose name is given in the characters above his head is a lie and Smith's proclamation of being a translator for God is also a lie.

• Shulem, one of the king’s principal waiters, as represented by the characters above his hand is a lie and anyone who believes it is deceived.

• Olimlah, a slave belonging to the prince is a lie and yet Joseph Smith knowingly covered up his deception by having the snout hacked out of the printing plate for the sole purpose of deceiving his followers.

Sure, there are peripheral issues that can be brought up in regards to those things that are not essential for salvation/exaltation.

What is essential to salvation/exaltation is to TELL THE TRUTH! Lying is not a path to salvation. Joseph Smith did not do that. He was a liar.

Why would I seek after those things when at the end of the day they don't really matter?

Because you're a liar, MG, just like Joseph Smith was. And you don't care about the truth. What you care about is LYING for the Lord in order to justify the founder of your cult.

It's as simple as that. In my view, you are a dishonest man and have lived a dishonest life by defending a known liar. The Facsimile No. 3 in your SCRIPTURES are a disgrace and you have no honor whatsoever in defending or justifying those lies in classifying them as peripheral issues.

What about something less either/or, such as offering you a sense of belonging and a stable family life as long as you stay in the boat and don't climb out and risk your ankles getting wet by walking to the shore?

Remember, doubt your doubts, and keep your head in the sand!!!

I don't think taking that path ultimately results in solid belief in the restoration. I do think that even though one can have questions/doubts about things, that it is...at the end of the day... the spiritual and experiential facets of one's life that end up being the anchors of belief.

A bit of knowledge of science and the unknown facets of the same lends itself to belief also. At least for me. That's not the equivalent of keeping one's "head in the sand".

I find it interesting that critics of religion and belief often use this analogy to disparage the believers.

I hardly see where my opinion enters the equation. The lies perpetrated by Smith regarding Facsimile No. 3 are a simple matter of fact, thus my understanding is based on scientific fact, not an opinion that is based in a state of flux. It's NOT my opinion that Smith lied. When have you ever admitted or conceded that Smith was lying? You have not done that and never will because you are addicted to playing with this board and in doing so are lying to everyone here.
