Wow, that's so funny. I totally remember her saying that quite clearly.

So do I. But when she's now been shown to not simply be sharing their words, in steps Wade to say that she's really creating her own theory (which, incidentally, was the original criticism, that she was cherrypicking quotes to adjust the theory to fit her political goals). So, what Juliann once vigorously denied, Wade ends up asserting as her defense.

Too funny, indeed.

Kevin, I just read through these. Very enlightening to read Bromley's perspective on this debacle.

Thanks.

I think this is as close as we will ever get to Juliann admitting she goofed, and Wade admitting he followed her goof.

Reasonable people would expect that with a growth in knowledge and an expansion of resources and expertice from which to draw, that evolving would naturally take place, and welcomedly so.

Would reasonable people consider a growth in knowledge and resources to necessarily be an admission of "goof"?

Of course not. Certainly, I don't admit it in this case. In fact, I would suggest just the opposite.

Certainly, as far as the discussion in question is concerned, Beastie has proven herself to be unevolved and/or unevolving. Again, she seems incapable of growth beyond the Bromley box.

So, with Juliann admittedly evolving, and Beastie clearly not evolving, the gap in knowledge and resources can't help but widen, and thus the chances for the discussion moving forward have continued to lessen until it has now virtually stopped.

No real mystery there. ;-)

Yep, she evolved so fast that you had to refute her claims to support her.

I didn't refute her claim. She is still relying on the experts--i.e. using their words, not hers. It is just that she has wisely chosen to increase the pool of experts from which to draw.

Others, apparently, lack the capacity to evolve in that way, let alone correctly understand that evolution. ;-)

So in addition to being a CBT expert, you're a mind-reader too, fully capable of speaking about juliann's "evolution"? You never cease to amaze me, Wade.

You have to admit, it's a pretty clever tactic: She evolved, and you just weren't smart/aware/unbigoted to see it. Really, that argument is a thing of beauty.

I personally haven't laid claim to what you just said--at least not to the extent that you, in your own ironic bit of faulty mind reading and straw man construction impose on me. It is little wonder that your flights of fantasy leave you ceaselessly amazed. Frankly, your Don Quixote-like world view is amazing to me as well, if not also amuzing. ;-)
