I do actually, and so do a great deal of Americans. When he captured in writing the true nature of that s***hole I used to live in it dawned on me what a cruel sick world Vegas is. Now here I am, a refugee, having a great time living without fear and loathing, a product of my environment.

Polygamy Porter wrote:William Shockley

Co-inventor of the transistor.

What is a transistor you ask?

The basic building block of the Integrated Circuit and CPU, which computers use. The technological advances we enjoy(this discussion board) are due to his work.

I thank William Shockley, John Bardeen and Walter Houser Brattain for contributing to my final realization that the religion that my parents force fed me is absolute complete BULL Fecal matter.

Others before them enabled their discoveries. Faraday(contributed significantly to the fields of electromagnetism and electrochemistry), Tesla(father of AC power), many others that I should list but don't have time..

These men have done more for this world and any mystical character from any religious story.

I partially agree. Turing was more influential on the computer age than any other person though. Turing built the model, Shockley was an implementor of his "turing machines".

On the shoulders of Giants.

The inventor of the Global Positioning System made a pretty important contribution to humanity. I talked with him this morning.

Laying aside any argumentd pro or con about his theory, how has Charles Darwin made "huge advancements in how we treat others

The threat of evolution to religion was probably secondary to its threat to noble European blood.

Not if you go by linear time, but why color within the box when you can use it for origami?
