A FAIR guy named Dan

There once was a FAIR guy named Dan;
He couldn't find his a(__) with both hands!
So, shaking his head
He burped and he said,
"These donuts go straight to my can!"

Yes, ABman---well done! As I have said before, I *am* guilty of writing derogatory things about DCP. You can find a bit archived on Infymus's site where I referred to him and his pals as "a-holes," too. My point has been all along that I am just not guilty of the specific thing he has repeatedly accused me of having written, and which got me booted off of FAIR.

Scratch,

Straighten me out (good luck)....are you saying that you did NOT write the "douche bag" remarks?

Too bad Dan and Scratch could not simply shake hands, have a donut and perhaps break wind together - you know, real men bonding stuff.

Yes, I agree. I think that Prof. P. is a smart, witty, eloquent, and basically decent guy. I think it is a pity that he is apparently incapable of seeing me as anything other than an "anti-Mormon liar." But, oh well. I do enjoy butting heads with him, even if it is from a distance. : )

So yeah, I just finished looking over the thread created by DCP that prompted this "busts" thread. The most recent post made by our beloved maklelan begins with the following:

maklelan on MAD
"For what it's worth, I was perusing some threads on the board that shall not be named (because then they know we're talking about them and they start a thread criticizing a different issue just to make themselves feel better) and I came across Scratchy saying this to someone:"

Uh mak...you do realize, don't you, that because you post on this board that you are one of "them"? Why does your post give the appearance that you don't participate here? Wasn't it you who was recently seen complaining in the Celestial Forum (for the zillionth time) about the lack of serious/intellectual discussions on this board?

And what is your response to that? You cozy right down into the mud over on MAD.

Right.

I'm sure you also realize (or maybe I give you too much credit) that Daniel posted a personal attack thread on MAD where recently, mods stepped in to reiterate (wasn't one of them Juliann who is now posting on DCP's personal attack thread?) the "no board wars"/"personal threads" again off again, so called "rule"? Has it been so long that you don't remember the "experiment"?

You further realize, don't you, that DCP posted a personal attack thread on a board where his "target" is unable to respond?

You do realize, don't you, that both DCP and his little dog Juliann have posted on Mormon Discussions this and are quite able to bring the complaint here where Mister Scratch is able to respond?

And finally, mak, given the enormous effort you make in attending to detail, you do realize that the post DCP references is no longer viewable?

When a person chooses to accuse another of an infraction and publishes their accusation in a place where the "target" is unable to respond and the words in question are unverifiable to begin with, so that the issue can never be resolved where the accusation stands (and likely will stand without challenge)....

what does that suggest to you about the person posting the personal attack thread?

Why yes. Yes, I was right, mak. Here's the opening post of the thread you began in the Celestial Forum now relocated to the Terrestrial Forum:

maklelan on MD
"Why So Few Faithful?

I was browsing the threads here last week and couldn't help but wonder why there are so few faithful LDS people frequenting this board. We have a small handful of LDS posters who continue to post here, and a few posters in the middle who appear to honestly be objective about things, but for the most part the threads are self-congratulatory and self-indulgent anti-Mormon accusation and speculation. I admit that some of the issues are ones that I've wondered about myself, but upon further inspection the threads often fail to produce anything in the way of progress. Much of what is presented here is reactionary whining. We get it. Can we discuss something important?

There are very intelligent people here who have experience in many areas, but there are so few real investigations into anything incredibly relevant. I think that that lack of real discussion that is of value to both Mormons and non is a cause for so few LDS posters. The other cause, in my opinion, would be the antagonism toward, and lack of support for, opinions that are not in line with those of the proprietors and most outspoken posters on this board. Those outspoken people can often spoil a decent thread for others and reduce a poster's desire to respond.

My attendance here and at MAD has waned of late because of my rapidly shrinking free time, but I would love to see more LDS posters here, and I think the first thing that needs to happen is more intelligent discussions, less self-congratulation, and less bullying. Just my thoughts."

Oh, the irony!

Isn't this a personal thread?

Can't wait to see the self contradicting response to that one!

And the King of the Two-Headed Sheep Herd doesn't disappoint!

Daniel Peterson on MAD:

No. According to "Mister Scratch," the name does not refer to a single individual.

Funny, I see no reply from "Mister Scratch" on that thread. Did I miss it? Let's get serious, Daniel. The thread is a personal thread about YOU. Keep swinging that innuendo, Daniel!
