Daniel Peterson wrote: As I've said before, if liberation from my religious views will make me like some of those I've observed on the so-called "Recovery" board, I'd prefer to spend the few pointless remaining years before I sink into oblivion among the Saints.
If going back to Mormonism would make me like some apologists I've observed on various Mormon related boards, I'd prefer to spend eternity in outer darkness.

The universe is such an ingeniously designed place, and the plan of salvation so remarkably calibrated, that we may indeed never have to encounter one another in the eternities. Isn't it wonderful? Isn't it marvelous?
by the way, my TBM father reads the Left Behind series. The younger members of the family spend much more time with Harry Potter than they do with the scriptures, but, regardless, like Harmony said, when choosing church material to read they will let Deseret Books be their source any time.

That is not my belief. You and I and every mortal ever lived will spend eternity in perfect one-ness. I hope you're not too disappointed when you get there.

If you don't get it, feel free to ignore what I wrote.
For some reason, I feel compelled to point out that you are obfuscating the issue, and I know you know it, and you know we know it, so you might as well drop the pretense.
I hope I'm not interupting anything, but I'd like to get back to my last question for Dr. Peterson.
Dr. Peterson, do you agree, or disagree, that the likely intent of this article is to steer LDS young people away from material written about the LDS church which could challenge their testimonies?
Where, in the article, would you see an "out" for material produced by the likes of Quinn, Compton, and Larson?
Mormonism ceased being a compelling topic for me when I finally came to terms with its transformation from a personality cult into a combination of a real estate company, a SuperPac, and Westboro Baptist Church. - Kishkumen
