Better yet, why does anyone listen to that schmo?

Here is another tidbit:

Jason Echols was not lying about his profession on Daniel's blog.

That alone should settle the issue, in my view.

Would someone please start raising the circus tent before the center ring man starts the show?
Popcorn and soda sells men would also be appreciated.

A few Scooby Snacks short of a Mystery Gang, that one.

A few? You are indeed soft spoken.

Are you the genius who cooked up this hair-brained theory?

No, sorry, it wasn't me.

But, I have to tell you all, I'm not convinced (sorry Wangchung, but to take your word for it, I'd have to actually know who you are, and I don't, so I don't have any reason to believe you) it's just a hair brained theory or a silly fantasy.

Consider this. You find out that some BYU Professor you don't even know accused you of cyber stalking him for six years on his blog. What would be your response?

Would it be to joke around with him? as Jason did, Saying 'apology accepted' and 'Dude, you're a hoot..". No, An innocent person would have a very different response--the expected response would be to strongly deny it and call him crazy and maybe threaten to sue the guy.

in my opinion, Jason's response seemed to take it as a game. A game he was familiar with because he'd been playing it for years....

At least, that's how I see it.

I like to think of Pahoran as the rat faced Inspector Lestrade, completely without imagination and always out of his depth.

Jerry Bradford has probably saved BYU and the M.I. no small amount of embarrassment since asking for DCP to GTFO out of their offices. This latest episode being a fine example.

I think you are assuming that anyone, Jason included, with have the uptight Mormon response. That's DCP's gig, to threaten lawsuits any time someone might say something you don't like. It is not normal human conduct.

Everybody Wang Chung wrote:Alter,

I have never met or interacted with Jason Echols. Although I recently googled him and have seen his photo.

I do know Dr. Scratch personally and have met him face to face. I know his real name, I know his profession I know the town he lives in and I even know a little bit about his family. However, I would never divulge ANY of this information without Dr. Scratch's prior approval.

I can tell you with 100% certainty that Dr. Scratch is not Jason Echols. The truth is, Dr. Scratch really isn't that concerned if someone does find out his in real life. It's fairly amusing to him that there is such a huge witch hunt by many Mopologists to find out his in real life.

WangChung, I believe you met someone who told you he was Scratch and I believe you when you say it was not Jason Echols. However, having not been there to witness it myself, I am not convinced that the person you met was indeed 'Dr. Scratch'. Having someone tell you this does not make it true and it would be difficult for him to prove it to you.

Also, it is odd if 'Scratch' acted amused that there was a witch hunt about his in real life, and I'd say he was not being sincere. Scratch has zealously guarded his identity ever since he came to the boards. It is an essential part of his persona and is necessary for what he does.
