Re: Hamula released from 1st Quorum of 70, no longer a membe
The Church has smeared Hamula through exposure to protect it's image because of his positions. They can't have anyone thinking he'd lost his faith. They could have done this quietly to preserve the dignity of Hamula and his family. But NO! He needs to be setup as a fall guy - massacred in the press, before the membership, and on every ex-Mo board.
The Church absolutely deserves the same exposure and embarrassment they've given him.

And the real reason he was excommunicated.
So that part about being excommunicated for having season tickets to the University of Utah football games was just a cover story? I just knew that sounded too believable to be true.

Good point. I don't know.
I'd also like to know if he gets to keep collecting his "modest stipend" of $10k per month for life.
Is 10k a month for life a real figure? Do you have a cf for that?
Thanks

Surest path to excommunication at that level is misappropriation of church funds.

I believe the "for life" part of this is based on the policy that members of the 1st Quorum of 70 are not released, but put into emeritus status.

That leak is for what Henry B. Eyering is paid as a member of the first presidency. Seventies are undoubtedly paid a smaller figure.

Make no doubt about it, LDS kiddies, the executive director of correlation's excommunication was not for disillusionment or apostasy. Resume praying, paying and obeying.

Click on the memo leak. I think it was specifically addressed to a 70. I'm assuming the higher-ups get even more.

Cute. If he was talking down to all those money grubbing generational sycophants teaching them the real gospel and driving the leaders crazy with being spot on by scripture and shutting all their mouths. Maybe.

My mistake. Indeed it does.
