More like Joseph “likened himself unto God” and wrote accordingly by using existing material that he incorporated into his adapting worldview.Rivendale wrote: ↑Tue Sep 02, 2025 2:14 amAnd organize is a loaded term that insinuates you know how to organize which in essence gives you de facto knowledge of something you should have known? I found some decrepit natural enemy of me but I am going to create Mini me's in an effort to put them through torture and then they can become like me and replicate my Steve Irwin discovery of you. But it is genuine trust me.Limnor wrote: ↑Tue Sep 02, 2025 1:58 amNot to mention confusion. The other day I was following a thread in which the term “Creator God” was used.
I was led to understand that the LDS God did not create, but rather organized existing matter.
Which, interestingly, is how it seems much of LDS scripture was created/organized.
Apologies for the continuation of the derail.

Does Mother Nature also get the credit for proteins combining in primordial ooze pools into self-replicating structures?MG 2.0 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 01, 2025 9:29 pmIf God created the world, then, again, that includes ALL things. Including the naturalistic way the world works. Is this making sense? Let's put it this way: when a mudslide occurs, that's 'Mother Nature'. The natural world in action! That's been going on a LONG time now.![]()

But doesn't it help this process when the primordial ooze pool tumbles down the hillside and crashes into an LDS Church?Biomolecular Bird wrote: ↑Tue Sep 02, 2025 3:12 amDoes Mother Nature also get the credit for proteins combining in primordial ooze pools into self-replicating structures?

That's OK. For clarification the LDS church interprets creation as the act of organizing pre-existing, eternal matter (creatio ex materia). A "creator" is the One who supervises the organization of chaos or existing physical elements.Limnor wrote: ↑Tue Sep 02, 2025 1:58 amNot to mention confusion. Hope this helps. If you are indeed investigating the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I would suggest you go to the church's website.

What we're really talking about and referring to is anthropomorphism. By the way, protein synthesis, as understood today, requires complex cellular machinery, which did not exist in primordial Earth.Moksha wrote: ↑Tue Sep 02, 2025 3:12 amDoes Mother Nature also get the credit for proteins combining in primordial ooze pools into self-replicating structures?MG 2.0 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 01, 2025 9:29 pmIf God created the world, then, again, that includes ALL things. Fibber MG,
He is an investigator. Guess what he thinks about your missionary work and your behavior?
That's some great missionary work, Fibber MG.

Have you read anything about theories on abiogenisis? There are viable theories on how this happens including RNA precursors to DNA protein synthesis. Quit reading the vomit from the likes Behe and the Discovery institute.

Re: Mudslide slams into Provo LDS church
I prefer to inquire here as I have learned that words don’t always mean the same thing to LDS members as they do to outsiders. Creator, for example.
Another example is the JST of the Bible - I learned that Joseph didn’t translate in the manner that is commonly understood. He had no original Hebrew or Greek manuscripts in front of him to translate from. I learned that from the internet - now I am more skeptical of claims.
Also, I was not apologizing to you for the derail - I was apologizing to the group as a whole as it seems to be an issue.
