Your beef is with MG 2.0. He couldn't simply acknowledge that Nelson reached his 101 b-day. MG 2.0 added, "What an amazing life he has lived and what an impact he has had on the church. Here is a nice encapsulation of his life and accomplishments: ... ." The door was opened.
So Everybody Wang Chung and others have merely chimed in about Nelson's life and what was left out of the LDS whitewashing of Nelson's life.
No, you and Wang NOT Hung are definitely not correct, and it's rather amusing, to say the least. It seems that MG2.0 is treating everyone in the Terrestrial forum as if they are complete fools, lacking both decency and common sense. What occurs is that MG2.0 simply shares a fact about Nelson in the thread, and it quickly turns into a feeding frenzy, with everyone seemingly eager to contradict him just to contradict him, there's no thought put in your post.
His actions demonstrate that the exmormons here lack reason, compassion, and the capacity for empathy. He is demonstrating to anyone observing the board that exmormons are discontented individuals intent on undermining an American religion. You may not even be aware, but you and those expressing negativity towards him are providing him precisely what he desires, and it's quite entertaining to observe your unawareness of the whole scenario.
What is the name of the guy who manipulates puppets on strings and brings them to life on stage? Indeed, that's MG2.0, and he is dancing everyone around here on the discuss Mormonism stage with his moves.
Marcus, read carefully for comprehension. It is this that I am referring to. As usual, you are leaving out context and twisting words. It is SO obvious to others that might be looking in. At times, I am embarrassed for you...yet you keep trolling me around trying to cause disruption and distress. As I've said, that indicates a form of sadistic behavior.

That's some great missionary work, Fibber.
"I'm on paid sabbatical from BYU in exchange for my promise to use this time to finish two books."

Fibber's back with another broken promise and another lie. Like a dog returneth to his vomit, Fibber returns to AI.
Couldn't agree more. His AI posts are so obvious, and his disrespect toward Shades' rules is clear. Also, the fibbergymnast recently agreed with HoundDogMike that he posts here to disrupt, and that, in classic troll style, he takes pleasure in seeing the results of his disruptions.
What else can be expected from someone who comes to a small discussion group only to express hatred toward and deride its participants, only because they believe differently than he does?

President Nelson as been an examplar of unity among church leaders and members. This follows the injunction of the Savior, "If ye are not one, you are not mine."
“God is our Father. We are His children. Jesus Christ is the Son of God. This is His Church, which is reflected in the name He gave it. It is only through Jesus Christ’s Atonement that we can repent of our sins and return to God’s presence.
“We will find joy in life as we “think celestial” and follow the covenant path that begins with baptism and leads us to The House of The Lord. God speaks to us when we make the effort to hear Him. The world needs peacemakers, so please be kind.
“Thank you for your faithfulness. Thank you for expressing gratitude. Thank you for your prayers. You inspire me to strive to become a better disciple of Jesus Christ.” https://www.msn.com/en-us/entertainment ... r-AA1Mc9Ga

Thinking of others. That they might be one.
Regards,
MG
In what way(s) are you trying to take that teaching and be a peacemaker on this board, displaying unconditional kindness to the other posters on this board? You post the sentiment, but do you walk the walk? If you’re not just trolling the board, you will be the example on this board that Nelson is talking about - you will be a peacemaker, you will display kindness. Regardless of how others behave.

Premise 2. The best evidence for the Book of Mormon is eyewitness testimony.
Conclusion. Therefore, the best evidence for the Book of Mormon is notoriously unreliable.
