What part of my statement are you disputing? Every word I typed can be validated by even the church's history books.
So, you believe that a man who claimed he could find buried gold with rocks and a hat found buried gold in the form of a book that he translated with rocks and a hat, but you're skeptical of the carefully researched fossil record?
I believe in a man who was called of God to be the prophet of the Restoration, who communed with God and received revelation, was visited by an angel who instructed him on where to find the gold plates of the Book of Mormon and translate them by the gift and power of God, and who restored God’s true Church on earth in the last days and for the last time.
You don't even understand basic scientific terminology. Your misuse of the word "theory" is a big red flag for someone that has not even an elementary level grasp of science. You ought not argue things beyond your understanding.
You are talking a load of crap as expected. Here is a list of at least ten scientific “theories” that later proved to be wrong:
The worst part isn't that you've misused a word. Scientific words get misused all the time. The worst part is that when you were shown the actual definition of the word, you couldn't admit you made a mistake.
I have found that people respect you more when you admit your mistakes. It can be painful at first, but eventually you realize that it's not that hard. It actually makes things easier.
As soon as you concern yourself with the 'good' and 'bad' of your fellows, you create an opening in your heart for maliciousness to enter. Testing, competing with, and criticizing others weaken and defeat you. - O'Sensei

That really helps your case
Zerinus is very illiterate scientifically. You have to be really stupid to provide the link he did and think they represent scientific theories. It's obvious he doesn't really read other people's post's who were trying to enlighten him. This is the classic sign of a troll, not someone interested in discussion or learning something .

Maybe it is those who offer a different explanation are the ones who are misusing the term “theory” in reference to a “scientific theory”.
Well, when talking about scientific theory it's just a supposition or a system of ideas intended to explain something, especially one based on general principles independent of the thing to be explained.
I think you might be trying to have it both ways, Zerinus. You're discounting the scientific method while trying to use it while equating it to religious interpretation of reality. I noticed this with your linked blog post.
That's why I suggested you become well-versed in the thing that you're attempting to discredit so you can take a better tactic when attempting to discount it.

Every record...falsified, every book rewritten...every statue...has been renamed or torn down, every date...altered...the process is continuing...minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Ideology is always right.

In Z's universe it's okay to converse with beings from Saturn a la Swedenborg but evolution is a heresy and a disposable, invalidated idea. Dowsing rods and banded jasper are more reliable than gas chromatographs, mass spectrometers, argon dating, astrophysics, paleontology, cellular biology, linguistics...
Well, he certainly has a spark of inquiry. You don't post like he does and attempt to write books because you're not an intellectually curious person. I'd like to see him get a little more book smart on the things he discounts. It could probably serve his approach better.
