If you can’t figure out the connection, that’s on you.

No it’s not. It’s on you to explain. So explain away.

Re,

Here is the original post

Whatever one thinks of stylometry and Hebraisms/Chiasmus in the Book of Mormon, it’s interesting nonetheless that these patterns show up in the rather complex Book of Mormon narrative. Especially when one remembers also the translation process itself, and the fact that there was an ancient abridgment process that has to be factored in. That is if you want to put any credence into Mormon being an abridger. And the fact that the dictation was given in 20-30 word blocks or ‘text messages’ while Joseph was looking at a stone in a hat compounds things even more.

Anyway, I find it interesting that critics seem to overlook a lot of this and ultimately come down to saying, “Joseph did it.” That seems to be a stretch.

You haven’t been able to get this far by not having a bit of the poseur in you, I’m sure.

You are unteachable because you know you already have the truth.

That is why your posting history is one long series of logical fallacies.

Typical avoidance response. I was hoping to get something substantive from you.

I think you are somewhat of a poseur. And in addition, you engage in a fair degree of puffery to support your ideological stance. Otherwise I think you would simply and straightforwardly tackle and respond to inquiry rather than deflect.

In the time you and I have been going back and forth you could have simply answered my questions/concerns about your rather flimsy response to my original statements/opinions.

It looks like we’re not going anywhere. My argument still stands. It’s a stretch to simply say Joseph Smith created the Book of Mormon on his own.

Thanks for (not) playing. That was a waste of time.

Yeah, MG is a study in nonsensical rationalization. As well as a masterclass in derailing and cluttering threads with off topic ramblings and finger pointing. “You’re biased, therefore your opinion is invalid. Follow the prophet!” and such. It’s like debating my grandpa, who is hardcore believer and has dementia. Actually MG sounds a lot like him most days. I wonder…

And there you go, folks.

Oh, by the way, count the number of posts I’ve made on this thread dealing with “Wordprint Studies & the Book of Mormon” or the Book of Mormon and you may find that I have more than any other person. I’m not going to go back and count…but you can. 🙂

The only off topic ‘ramblings’ are when I’m answering or responding to someone else who is typically going sideways.

If I was your grandpa we could have some awesome discussions. And I promise I don’t have dementia. ;)

MG
