You and your friends over at the Discussing Mormons board would be considerably benefited, I think, if you could grasp that most of us -- myself emphatically included -- aren't particularly concerned about the "Heartland" model. We disagree with it, but it doesn't bother us. What bothers us (as I've said here recently in probably half a dozen separate blog posts) is the tendency on the part of some prominent "Heartland" voices to cast doubt on the faith and commitment of some of us wbo don't share their views, to depict us as part of some sort of conspiracy or cabal or cartel that is trying (rather successfully) to seduce the Church and its leaders.
I suspect that, by now, even some of the folks at the Discussing Mormons board have noticed that "TwoCumorahFraud" -- may you have joy of him! -- is, umm, more than slightly obsessive. For him, everything -- everything -- revolves around our supposed plagiarism of Mr. L. E. Hills, a long-dead member of the RLDS Church.. He can't merely disagree with us; he has to portray us as stupid and evil. (In that regard, of course, he's a perfect fit for your board, albeit a tad monothematic
As Neville quite eloquently points out, the problem for Interpreter is much larger than this single issue.
This heartland thing isn’t the main story: Interpreter and it’s cadre of associated mopologists being exposed as a sham is. Even faithful Mormons can see straight through it.
It’s become a massive embarrassment to the church.
