The franchise has something to do with data collection if I remember correctly. She said she had to go down to a training in Texas just after signing the papers and during the training she identified the company is performing illegal collection because you call companies or something or people ask him a bunch of questions and record them without them knowing. She said she knew it was illegal because of all of her experiences with JD and how he always like to record people without them knowing and then posting little soundbites online to Humiliate them and hold them against them. She claims she took the evidence to the authorities but they didn’t believe her even though she has evidence and recordings of the training that she was receiving. It is all crazy convoluted mess.

Texas is a one-party consent state with regard to recordings. Don't know if that matters.

You know, today someone offered to contact the Open Stories Foundation to try to set up a mediation in order to get both sides to put their guns down. I thought, "Why?" The time for that was in 2012. Where were they when I asked for the end to retaliations and when I requested an investigation. Those days have passed.

Plus, the Open Stories Foundation doesn't have any more guns, they just shot their last one.

I'm pretty sure that I fell through the Looking Glass reading that one. Maybe I just fail to fully grasp what all happened.

Her concerns about her name are all over the place. Dwight captured the most of it. She is concerned that when you Google her name, this affair stuff is the top hit. And she then says JD is an SEO master and he is leveraging the affair to strengthen his brand, saying he almost lost his marriage but has worked through it.

It is the same pattern. JD is clueless about how to do the operations, but is a master at spin. He silences her, she is helpless to find a voice, etc..

Ah. OK. That makes a lot more sense than fast food. I don't know that I would trust her idea of what is illegal or not. Her claim that JD records people on the sly to use against them also sounds fishy to me. Anyone have any corroboration of this claim? Sounds paranoid to me.

Damn. I just checked out her Facebook page. Not good. It’s amazing to me that no matter how utterly retarded someone acts with their publicly available Facebook profile, the commenters somehow manage to act dumber by back patting them. They just want to give her a virtual hug not understanding how manipulative she’s being with how she’s framing her story, but good god, she’s going to need to get a job in about a year unless she can convince her son to support her, her adult son by the way, that’s gearing up to graduate uni, that she’s begging for anons to support, to go to school. -_-

Also, it should be noted that now that she’s not going to squeeze any more sweaty wads of cash (As Good as It Gets ref ftw) out of Open Stories Foundation’s hands, JD is a civil suit dead end, her books aren’t generating any sort of revenue, her whatever franchise blew up in her face because she punched way too far above her weight class and got btfo, that she’s essentially resigned herself to Option #2’s endgame statement of Old and Bitter. This is why it’s better for her to move on, get that dank therapy, get a job, and start making small payments on her judgement. I also recommend medical marijuana. It might chill her out a bit.

She felt she had no provable skills she feels, no reference from Open Stories Foundation, no degree, she will buy a franchise of some sort to be able to support herself. Then she went to training in Texas and found out the company does outbound sales calls and records the calls and gathers information that they then resell (I don’t know how why, but it sounds like data mining or demographic and interest stuff) since recording is illegal in at least two party states she nopes out. (I am wondering if there is an automated message saying it could be recorded for whatever reasons, who knows, I would not be surprised if it is in an ethical gray zone, she doesn’t have a good grasp of what feels is illegal and what is illegal) she then talks about what I am guessing are two different cases, her breaking the contract and a criminal referral she made to the state attorney general which went to a US prosecutor. She lost the fight to break her contract and I believe with costs and attorneys’ fees is where the $350,000 owed comes from.

No one from her time at Open Stories Foundation would serve as a reference for her? Seems unlikely. Sounded to me like Natasha Helfer didn't hold any grudge against her.

In any case, I wonder what was up with her breaking this contract based on her assumption that the company was operating illegally. Very strange this whole thing. How does she even end up going down such a rabbit hole?
