Calling out the lazy exmos

Post by _Mercury »

I got to thinking about RFM the past few days. Although I took away a great deal of benefit from RFM i can't help but see a self promoting, not entirely straightforward message board at RFM.

The Steve Benson thing got to me and this topic was one of my initial postings here on MDB. The rules against posting blog addresses got my goat even further.

So I decided to start probing. What I noticed was a thorough system maintained by the mods to counter what they saw as outside influences that might sway the multitudes of individuals who visit RFM.

Wholly unlike here, RFM seemed to have a cabal of admins, several people controlling a handful of admin accounts and a celebrity...uh, "cult" centered around steve and others.

What I saw did not make me overly concerned, as message boards are my bread and butter. Moderating them is difficult work but the format and methodology they deployed to deal with my testing of the pickets were strange and very closed minded, geared toward protecting the celebrities.

Anyone have any further experiences with RFM?

Steve, if your listening, im just wondering if your going to stop digging up your grandfather and get past the fact no one gives a rats ass. The interesting stories you have told have come and gone. Stop trying to ride the Mormon tendency to latch onto your pseudocelebrity status.
And crawling on the planet's face
Some insects called the human race
Lost in time
And lost in space...and meaning
