Yet Another Question for Plutarch....

Do you feel that if you are a Temple Recommend holder, and disagree about certain aspects of the Church, that it is wrong to discuss these things in a public forum?

I react to arguments made in posts.

But you failed to answer her question, Plutarch.

Not only didn't he answer my question, but he didn't make a whole lot of sense with the response he gave.

Wassup Liz?! Howyadoin?
C'mon, now you know the typical fundie Mormon response on this board to people who actually make sense is to either not respond at all or respond with what they think are "riddles", which are actually tidbits of dogma-fied drivel that make no sense.
*sigh* I've started off the New Year in such a good mood.

Is the sound of one hand clapping louder than Hellen Keller falling down in a forrest?

The question just is too vague to provide a response more than what I have provided.
I am happy to attempt answers to all questions posed here (I'll note that many of you refuse to get "roped" into my questions), but that one was too vague. "Certain aspects of the Church," means what? The proposed design of the remodel of a BYU building? The Adam-God teachings of Brigham Young? The answer would swing wildly based upon the issue at hand.

OK, Plutarch...I'll rephrase. Do you think it is appropriate for a Temple Recommend holder to disagree with
any type of Church policy in
any type of forum...public or private?
It seems from your response to others on this board that you feel that anyone who is a member of the Church should never disagree with any type of Church policy. I want to know if that is how you really feel, or if I have misread you. And, if I have misread you, I am curious to know what you think is appropriate for Church members to talk about and what isn't, in regard to pieces of the gospel or Church policy that they may disagree with.
Is that specific enough for you? ;)

I posted on a nother thread here the current questions regarding a temple recommend. Is there a question you have in regards to one of those? If so, then you should not go to the temple.
If you would like to discuss one of those questions, then lets discuss it. I don't see any on the list that to my knowledge are off limits. There is actually very little that is in the temple that is off limits.

Is your thread on temple questions in this forum, Gaz. or another one? I would be interested in reading it and responding there. What is the title?
I think you may misunderstand my question here. Plutarch has repeatedly showed disdain for any temple recommend holder who criticises the Church on this forum.
I'm trying to clarify what he thinks is appropriate discussion and what isn't. I'll throw the question out to you as well. Should any of us who have temple recommends participate on a message board like this one? What do you feel is appropriate, as a temple recommend holder to discuss, and what isn't?
Is it "proper" for us to question any points of doctrine, or disagree with any Church policies? Or, as temple recommend holders, should we simply accept all aspects of the Church blindly, never questioning anything?
And, if a message board like this is, in fact, that distasteful, and should be avoided at all costs, then aren't even those of you who staunchly defend the faith on a board like this also hypocrites? Wouldn't it be better to "avoid the appearance of evil" altogether?
