Update Update Update~!
It's been a long time in coming, but we've finally gotten the update we've always wanted!
-- New design in the main site area place thing.
This new design finally integrates the style of the site. The "slapped together" look is finally done away with.
-- New Links and Resources pages
I've put up links to the most common LDS sites, and have set up an area where we can start hosting our very own articles and resources. My hope is that this new area will allow us to become a point of reference, and more than just a forum. If you write an article and would like it hosted as a resource, please e-mail it to me: keenemaverick@gmail.com
-- "Who's Chatting!"
You'll now notice at the bottom of the main forum pages, there is a "Who's chatting" box, so you can see who is in the chat rooms. Log in and wait a while, people will see you in there and come join you.
-- Quick Search!
When you're making a post, scroll down just a little extra. You'll see something new: A quick search! This google-powered search has the option of searching the entire web, this site, or our favorite resource, LDS.org. Research for your posts will now be that much easier. No need to open a new window or tab.
Enjoy, and as always, if there is a problem with the site, or if you have any ideas or suggestions, please let me know by e-mail. Please use this thread to list any updates you would like to see in the near future as well. I've recently left my day job, and now have much more time to spend helping this place out.

I PM'ed you a while back keene, but I thought I'd throw it out there again.
On the profile page a search by "threads started" in addition to "all posts" would be great at seeing what thread's a poster has started.
Bond
PS Love the new stuff.

You have smilies. Type a colon or semicolon, then type a dash, then type a right parenthesis. Doing so will give you a perfectly good smilie, like this:
:-)
See? Smilies are installed after all!

Threaded view...... I dunno. I thought it'd be easier to implement, but it's looking more and more difficult as time goes on.
Smilies: Blame shades! *ducks* It's all his fault! *ducks*
Search: That's a pretty intense feature, bond. If you can find a contribution on phpbb.org, I'll implement it, but it's not really something I can do from scratch. At least, not yet.

I shall search. But if you (Tech King) don't know it, odds are I won't.

Folks, I must add that this is a WAY cool feature. However, it's very easy to overlook.
When making a reply, you'll have to scroll down below your input field to see the quick search field and its radio buttons and search button. When you make a search, your results will open in the same field, i.e. there will be a list of clickable results underneath your in-progress reply. Plus, if you click on a link, the page will appear in the same field (still), meaning that no matter how much you surf around for further information, references, etc., your reply will NOT be altered and you WON'T have to worry about losing your message-in-progress.
Convenient, eh?
KEENE:
We can currently select to search LDS.org, mormondiscussions.com, or the entire web. How about adding an option to search MA&D as well?
(Can't wait to see their reaction to that!)
