I apologize in advance of this thread for busting yet another bubble of members of LDS Inc on this board who don't know that Tal Bachman(one hit wonder "She's so High") is an exmormon.

that's right primary kids! Bill Maher's HBO program: "Inconveniently telling the truth" is gonna do just that. And geusssss what? Someone that many of you all once looked up to as being a shining example of a good Mormon, Tal Bachman, is showing Bill all of your sacred temple gang handshakes and making JOKES about your masonic Jesus jammies!

Tal reported this on his fav hangout spot, exmormon.org RfM board

I think LDS Inc is hoping Mr. HEY-everyone-I-am-a-mormon Mitt Romney pulls outta the presidential race.. How many lost convert baptisms and member resignations will it cost LDS Inc for Romney to attempt to run for Prez? What a selfish bastard![/url]

LDS Inc does not want Mitt Romney to pull out.

Your glee is sickening.

You need help man.

Could any of you tape this any post it to the Google videos when this comes out?

Was throwing the camera crew off the Church grounds a simple knee-jerk reaction, or was there a specific reason for it? It seems that for an HBO program that it might be counterproductive for audiences to see the LDS faith as needing to hide the truth. Much better to be open and upfront, unless for instance they were trying to gain entrance to the Temple itself.

What evidence do you have that the church wants Gov Romney to pull out of the presidential race?

He does not and they do not.

He just thinks that the high profile of Mitt is going to cause all the things he thinks the LDS Church wants to hide to come out, thus he thinks they want him to pull out to keep these things quiet.

Funny since Mitt is ready to make his bid official.

I would think it was very strange, and very out of character, for the church to try to tell Gov Romney what to do.

I love Bill Mahr he is my idol go figure. Mitty is going to pull out as soon as he can't compete with the money making machines such as Rudy, Hillary etc. The press loves the both of them Mitty is just a mere fly spec on the wall of the race nothing to worry about. Obama is going to disappear real soon as well, he will be over shadowed by Rudy, Hillary etc.

No I am not racist just pragmatic......

FROM DRUDGE REPORT

DETROIT - Presidential candidate Mitt Romney on Wednesday made a direct appeal to Republican fiscal conservatives, arguing that the president should veto any spending bill that exceeds its targets.

Speaking to the Detroit Economic Club, the former Massachusetts governor addressed an issue that has riled the GOP base, who contend that the party's loss of power last November was based, in part, on excessive spending.

"When our party has been in charge, we didn't distinguish ourselves on spending restraint," Romney said. "That's got to change — and it would in my administration."

The one-term governor suggested giving Congress a spending target and insisting that it is met. "If Congress does not meet the spending targets, then its appropriations bills should be vetoed. I regularly exercised my veto power while governor," he said.

Romney served one term as governor. He also suggested that Congress give the president the power of the line-item veto, an oft-repeated proposal that is has little chance in Congress.

The Republican also called for making President Bush's tax cuts, set to expire in 2010, permanent. He said individuals should be able to save $5,000 a year without paying taxes on interest, dividends or capital gains.

Romney returns to Michigan on Tuesday to announce that he will formally seek the presidency.

His father, George, served as governor of the state in the 1960s, but other relatives haven't had much elective success in Michigan.

Mitt Romney's brother, Scott, didn't get the GOP nomination to run for Michigan attorney general in 1998, despite the backing of then-Gov. John Engler.

Ronna Romney, Scott's former wife, sought the GOP U.S. Senate nomination in 1994 but was defeated by Spencer Abraham. Romney, a former radio talk show host, won the GOP U.S. Senate nomination in 1996 but lost to Democratic incumbent Carl Levin (news, bio, voting record)

Mitt Romney is downplaying his religion, not going around saying "hey everyone I am a Mormon." I don't see why you believe otherwise.

How many lost convert baptisms and member resignations will it cost LDS Inc for Romney to attempt to run for Prez? What a selfish bastard!

How do you figure he's selfish? Just because someone has a religion, should that bar them from running for office?

Bill Mahr is one of the biggest pieces of trash ever spewed from a mothers womb. In all of the times I have seen and heard him I have nothing positive to say. the man has stated publicly that he despises children and avoids their comapany at all costs, and he is also a known womanizer. In short, hes a Narcissist.

To gather up an ex-mormon pseudo celebrity and trash a religion is right up this sewer dwellers alley.
