I love MAD

There is nowhere else I have found that so many intelligent (and well-informed) people come together and share their views in so cordial a manner. Nor is there anywhere else I have found where people so carefully listen to what you have to say, even if they are determined to disagree. Aside perhaps from a spat with juliann, I have not had any conversations there where I felt like cutting my own wrists. Perhaps most importantly, despite all the complaints I hear about the moderating there, I think the moderators actually do a bang-up job. I don't come to the forum to read ad hominems. As a high-school substitute teacher and youth pastor, I encounter quite enough drama in real life. I don't want to read it on a message board, too. They filter things pretty well, I think. I'd like for Kevin Graham to be able to post there now and then, because I feel he has some really intelligent things to say, and I'd like for them to be a little harder on some MADB favorites who frequently cross the line, but honestly I have to say that the pros far outweigh the cons. I'd take it over this board any day of the week. I love MADB so much, I think I should marry it.

You're exactly right, California Kid. They filter things pretty well. They actually filter entire posters off the board. Happy Honeymoon!

I'd agree that most of the posters over there are actually pretty decent. Luckily, due to MADB's advertising of this site, more and more of them are coming over here.
Unfortunately, like the saying goes, one bad apple can ruin the bunch. cough...juliann...cough.

Yes, California Kid! Welcome.
For on this board, you can be a vulgar hedonist! You will be acclaimed for being so. The more you brag about sex, masturbation and drugs, the more you will be welcomed. You may suspend civility and good manners, and receive applause therefor!
Here, you can learn all there is to know about the evil worshipers of a pederast, which worshipers haunt that "other" board, simply by following the wildly entertaining posts of the likes of Liz and Mr. Scratch.
Oh, and also, please be anonymous and say nasty things about living people. For, that is courage, really.

I masturbate 100,000 times a day while doing crack. You may begin sending your fan mail and donation checks now. Did I mention I accept Paypal?

Does it bother you at all that Juliann is lying through her virtual teeth and posting private communication on MAD?
Just curious.

And I thought I had the record. Illusions are so flattering.

JerseyGirl,
I ignore 99.9% of juliann's posts. And in any case, we are not interested in the same kinds of threads. So I generally am not aware enough of what she's saying to have an opinion.

Go look at my posts. Every thread I have created or commented on where my comments were critical resulted in it being moderated. In no case did I violate their stated guidelines. You can see where I was constantly referred to as a troll/sock puppet because my arguments were too strong.
They are really sensitive in posts about polygamy or the immoral/illegal actions of the early church leaders. You can pretty much guarantee that they will lock your thread or ban you if it's not defending it.
Threads are supposed to be about topics rather than people on MADD. Yet they just did a 8 page pile-on bashing me.
