[blushing] Gee, what can I say? I am flattered that they have taken such in interest in what has always been just a fun diversion for me. The blog has always been intended to inform and entertain, and, aside from a few haters such as dangermom (for whom I will def. craft an unflattering dossier, unless she apologizes) and kawikadave (who is really just still smarting from having his butt kicked so many times by me in our debates on FAIR), it seems that the MADites are having a good time indeed. Of course, they are more than welcome to come on over and discuss any changes they would like to see made to their dossiers. I aim to please, after all.

I don't know how that thread could go on for 3 pages before being shutdown. Seems like an automatic board war thread to me. Nice to see Sput is still reading though. Does anyone know why he keeps fanning the flames? Did Shades run over his dog or something?

Sput is so predictable. How he turns my statement:

See everyone it never was about even handed moderation. It's about giving them darn muuuurmans what they deserve.

But it is interesting to see which part of my statement he chose to replace with.....the part that clearly has to do with unbiased moderation.

It seems to me that sput is working at perfecting his/her/its cherry picking skills.

It seems that he is interested in robust and vigorous debate, which raises the question: Why doesn't he just come over here and get it? I'm sure Beastie and others here would be glad to kick his butt.

I think MAD has treated Sput unfairly by muzzling his talk of Mormon Discussions. Discussing the Mormon Discussion Board, should be as allowable of topic as anything else over there. After all, Dr. Shades does not hold this board out to be sacred or secret. We have no qualms about discussing MAD, as a matter of fact it is a popular topic.

I suspect they are afraid of encouraging their participants to see this board and learning for themselves about freedom from over-moderation. Ironically, Sput himself would flourish better in this atmosphere.

I suspect that based on the number of good posters who have rolled over into this board over the last few weeks, the links they provided to this board may have possibly backfired.

Scratch's sole ability in any discussion board is to rummage through posts and point out contradictions and hypocrasies. Other than that sole talent he has all the depth of a soup spoon. How does he manage to garner an award?

I don't know how he managed to garner an award on MAD but I do think you underestimate his abilities. My observation is that Scratch is well able to hold his own in topical debate, respond in kind when he sees fit and good gravy, the man has a terrific writing style!
