Kathy Worthington has passed away

Post by _Polygamy Porter »

Kathy Worthington did much in her life, most notably and applicable to this forum was her help in establishing guidelines to officially resigning from LDS Inc.

Her passing was announced on RfM.

Dude, that sucks. If not for her website i would have not bothered with resigning and dealing with the BS that would have been done with a local bish. (even though the resulting confrontation was amusing enough.) I wish her family well.

Thanks for sharing this with us, PP. My heart goes out to her family.

I read the comments on RfM. No one seemed to mention what she died of. Her partner died of cancer. Did she have cancer also?

I hope she did not suffer. My prayers are with her.

Her website is very informative. It seems crazy that you should have to jump through legal hoops like that to disengage from a Church, but I know that some have had to do that. Her research is impeccable.

How old was she?

Sounds like shes in for a really rude awakening when a member of her family comes to collect her and escort her into the Spirit World.

I really liked Kathy, and that was a callous thing to say, Gaz.

Gaz,

That was bad, bad form, out of line, inappropriate and totally off base for you to say in a thread announcing the death of another person.
