What do our LDS posters want this board to be? This board is for you. A board will never be able to keep posters indefinitely cause people just move on eventualy no matter what. Are the chances of keeping "anchor" posters greater if they aren't subjected to constant rudeness and insults? Where is the line between that and keeping compelling discusions going? Posting stats have gone up after many of the predatory posters were shown the door, by the way. Some people think the more controversy the more activity but post stats have gone up since mean spirited anti-LDS posters were shown the door after the board change.
Thoughts from our LDSers?
Yes, I have a suggestion. I think that the mods should just create "anti" screen names and pretend to be critics. Then they can create really stupid "anti" arguments so the LDSers can feel really good about winning arguments against "anti's".
I think that's the only way to get the board they want.

I have no idea what stats went up - perhaps number of posts a day?
But what's funny is that the latest batch of critics they banned weren't even that active in posting. Yet their exodus somehow made MAD a more desirable place?

I AM THE DEVIL. The Mad Moderators in their finite wisdom saw through my smokescreen and banned the living daylights out of me. Removing Lucifer himself from a message board goes a long way towards making it more desirable. Kudos to the MAD Mods for their foresight.

This latest soap opera at MAD has convinced me that one of the most significant problems facing LDS apologetics is the very fact that it apparently needs a biased climate to survive at all. It's reflected in the entire Z/FAIR/MAD history, as well as the insulated nature of FARMs apologia.
Aside from the weak specific arguments, this reality seems very damning.
