I had a nice little chuckle reading over the threads on the fittingly named MADboard. Boy, the Moderating Team sure has done an excellent job of bringing the posters to their knees! Here is longtime poster "Scottie-Dog" Lloyd groveling before Dan_G and juliann:

At the risk of incurring the annoyance of the moderators, I am opening this thread to respond to a post from Matt Andrews in the “What is Up?” thread that I didn't see before the thread was closed.

I do this not to circumvent a moderator decision. And, at the moment, I don't intend to carry it beyond this single post.

I do it only because the post was addressed to me personally and I feel it merits a response.

I beg and appreciate in advance the indulgence of the moderators on this matter. As far as I am concerned, they are welcome to close this thread immediately, with this being the only post in the thread.

Doesn't it seem like he should have tossed a "Your Majesty," or "My Liege" in there somewhere? Can't you just picture him dropping to his knees, clutching the mod's hand, and kissing the ring on his finger, Godfather-style? How sad the lengths people will go to, just to curry favor with these unbelievably unfair and capricious mods! Lol....

Oh, it remained open. It is *still* open. In fact, in another thread, we have Asbestosman arguing that The Dude's question to DCP was somehow a violation of "tone." What does this mean? It appears to mean that beaucoup smooching of heiney is in order if one expects to curry favor with the fittingly named MADmods.

I am arguing no such thing. I am merely saying that it was likely interpreted that way by the mods and I offered possible reasons why it may have been so interpreted.
