Poll: Time to Guess the Next "Bannee"!

The Dude's recent suspension (which has left me reeling, and surely spells imminent doom for the fittingly named MADboard) made me think that it was high time for another poll.

I'm amazed Mighty Curelom is still around. I'm voting for him.

You forgot to include The Dude in your poll. He is suspended, but not banned yet.

Good point. He would probably be next.

Don Bradley's posts are hard-hitting but polite in tone. It would be difficult to ban him. Mighty Curelom might well be on some thin ice. I haven't seen enough Tarski lately to think he might push their buttons enough to get himself banned.
Barak Ale got in some kinda trouble over that alleged missionary apartment thread, so it wouldn't surprise me too terribly if something happened there.
I agree, The Dude should have been on the poll. And I probably would have voted for him. I wouldn't have thought so until the last day or so, but his suspension kinda jolted me out of that.
I personally just haven't had that much desire to post on that board lately. The fire is mostly out of me. For one, the repressive atmosphere against critics "in defense" of the TBMs is wearying, and also I'm just too sick of, if you'll excuse the French, the apologist b***s***. Same s***, different day. We've seen it over and over and over, and I've finally just lost my desire to post something, only to have Charity just bear her testimony and say I don't have the Spirit or whatever, Hammer to act like the moron he is, etc. I think the whole Martha Brotherton and Fanny Alger threads kicked the last legs out from under my desire to post. The sheer frustration level of dealing with people who will still claim that Joseph Smith must have been "sealed" to Fanny Alger, and therefore the sex he was having with her in the barn when Emma caught them and kicked Fanny out of the house must have been A-OK in the sight of the Lord. Nevermind that familysearch.org doesn't list her as one of Joseph Smith's wives, the sealing power itself is only claimed by the church to have been restored from 1 to 3 years after the Fanny incident, and the whole Fanny episode seems to look exactly like one would expect it to look if a charismatic religious leader broke down and screwed the 16-year old girl living in his house, and got caught by his wife. And yet they'll just say hey we don't know all the facts, the jury's still out, and bear their testimonies.
I realize I shouldn't get frustrated, and just consider it entertainment, but I don't even find it all that amusing anymore. To see the way so many of the TBMs there will twist and turn and squirm and do literally anything they need to do to continue believing in Joseph Smith as the man who "communed with Jehovah" and was God's mouthpiece on earth, is just disheartening. I almost lose my faith in humanity sometimes, seeing the consequences of people subjugating their will and their reason, and their power of rational thought, to an idea perpetrated on them by a fraud.

Why disheartening? Isn't it their right to believe as they will? No need to get yourself worked up about it. Just relax and flow with the current.
I would like to reiterate my request to the MAD mods, that they inform all the banished posters about the alternative of this forum, so that they do not have to suffer cold turkey withdrawals from lack of posting.

Well, as always, write-in answers are heartily welcomed! Also: Don Bradley was given a significant slap on the wrist by the fittingly named MADmods, and in fact was lumped in with Dude-level offenses, apparently.

In the Global Warming thread, DonBradley responded to the opening post with something like: "Avatar4321, whatever you do with your life, please don't vote or have children." That's what got him in hot water.
Don goes through cycles. He'll get pissed off at some of the more idiotic MAD posters, loose his temper (an awesome and funny sight, because he's so exceptionally quick witted), go into self-imposed exile, and then return in 2-4 months with renewed scholarly detachment. I see him leaving soon, before the MAD mods can suspend or ban him.

Should we start getting the list together for the next mass purging?

I'm not following MAD enough to know who is who. So, what if all on the list are banned...how many "others" are there left on there?
