So...will the Mormons meddle in the political process again in an underhanded and dirty way like they did the first ERA go around?
Or will they behave? Methinks they will shut up and go with the political flow.

Mormons to Battlestations!
And crawling on the planet's face
Some insects called the human race
Lost in time
And lost in space...and meaning

I don't think that the Church will put up the kind of fuss that they did, either. Basically, all of the "fears" that the Church raised regarding the ERA due to the wording have happened over time, anyway.
The Church was concerned about unisex bathrooms. Well...now, if you go to a mall, 80-90% of them have "family bathrooms" where men and women can both enter.
The Church was concerned about women fighting on the battlefield in the military. Now, women are fighting in the military along side men.
These are the two major issues that the Church was troubled about when the amendment was proposed initially. Those things are already in place.
If a new ERA amendment can further help with equal pay, I'm all for it. Women are still paid less than men across the board.

There was a study done on the pay between women and men. it showed that there was about 60 cents for every dollar a man made.
But when they broke it down, it makes complete sense as to why that is. Women usualy take jobs that allow more flexible hours, maternity leave, less hours (generaly), less hazardous jobs, more day jobs than night over men, and a few other small things.
So when you compair jobs of the same work load and expectations, women are at roughly .98 cents for every dollar a man makes. The entire study basicly came down to the idea that women ARE getting paid roughly the same as men, its more the object of the jobs women choose. (i would find the referance, but my boss is at work today and i need to be quick)

Just my two cents. I think the women deserve the extra two cents.
