It is not my intention to discuss all the prophecies concerning the Tribulation period which lasts for about one year because it seems that most people are tired of hearing the dread, and dying that is prophecied to come. However, I will say that it will not come until the year of 2405.

If anyone is interested or not interested let me know. We might have to communicate through the e-Mail for both the pros and the cons to be comfortable with it.

The Zombie Survival Guide

Just replace "Zombie" with "Satan's Minions" and you'll pretty much know everything you need to survive the coming apocolypse.

Then why worry about it? If it's not going to happen for another 400 years, then it's not like any of us will be alive to worry about surviving.

I don't surely don't want to discuss the dread and dying, but would you be willing to discuss this? Where do you get the information about 2405, do you have information that GBH doesn't have, and if so why, and if he does have that information, why would you suppose he isn't sharing it?

I always thought the scriptures stated no one knowns when the second coming will be. I guess I misinterpreted in my desire to be obedient and trust the leaders/prophets.

Oh well... ;-)

Actually though, it would be quite something if, after two thousand years of prophetic predictions someone right here knows when the second coming will be. I mean that would be cool!

We know that at least one man knows the exact time, because Joseph Smith had a revelation that placed the Second Coming in the early 1890s.

I, for one, am morbidly curious to read what Grampa75 has to say about all of this. Although I gotta agree with some others, if it's not gonna be till 2405 then I really don't need to give a crap about the Tribulation, and neither do my kids, or my grandkids, or my great-grandkids, or their kids, or their kids, or their kids, down to who the frick knows how deep.

But whatever. Mr. Grampa75, how are you going to survive the Tribulation in 2405? Let us have it.

Well, the prophets/leaders have a little conundrum here. If the tribulation is 400 years away, they wouldn't want us to know that because we would have little motivation to be obedient now in that case, but if they won't tell us it's 400 years away, then how can we trust them? And if they don't know it's 400 years away, they must be false prophets. Gramps, please come back and clear this up for us!

by the way: I'll be 420 in 2405, so does that mean I can survive simply by smoking some of gramps' special herbs?

The one and only reason I can envision why we might be concerned would be for our future families who are directly related to us.
