Romney is officially the current frontrunner

Well ladies and gentlemen, it appears that the fundreaising figures are in and Romney was able to scare up the most money for a republican cantidate. The war chest is stocked and ready to roll. Can he beat the left though? I doubt it. Hillary has raised 1/3 more funds, a considerable difference.

So, will romney get the GOP nomination now? I think its likely. Not only that, but when he loses, will the wolves turn to his Mormonism as a reason for their failure? Will the Hawk Neocons last breath be a whimper from romney as he gives his concession speech? I sure hope so.

When the billionaires come on board, the Republicans will always be able to outspend the Democrats. They are the party of the rich. With those bucks they have promoted and succeeded in electing very deficient candidates, who support their policies.

I don't think Romney can get the nomination.

Sure, he's raising money now, but, as has been pointed out, once all the different beliefs of mormonsim come to light, people will probably think twice.

Personally, I like Fred Thompson, and Duncan Hunter.

His billionaire circle of friends? Romney's personal wealth is quite robust, and he hangs out with the rich kids.

Oh, and don't forget the Mormons!

Mormon or not, I hope Romney wins the Presidency. The lawyers and professional politicians have done enough damage; it's time for a successful businessman with fiscal savvy to take the helm.

Romney doesn't really scare me.

What scares me is Hillary. A term with Hillary would be a least 4 years of screeching and nagging and would remind me of an eternity sentence with my ex-wife.

I have nothing against voting for a Mormon. But with Romney's stance on abortion, gay rights, and stem cell research, he may as well be an evangelical christian. He probably thinks intelligent design should be taught in schools (does anyone know if he's made a comment about this? I'm just guessing and projecting from his other wacko-christian stances). I think he's trying to impress the EVs to get elected.

I would actually like to vote for a Mormon guy like Romney who wasn't such a social right winger.

As for Hillary, my only problem with her is that so many other people have a problem with her. If she did get elected, it would be four more years of screeching and nagging from Republicans who bear her such irrational hatred. The country is divided enough as it is. Obama would be better maybe. Or the governor of New Mexico.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot about John Roberts. That guy is a joke.

The Democrats have done a good job of hiding the fact they they are rich too. Face it, both parties are the "parties of the rich"--you forget about Kerry? Gore? Edwards? What about practically ALL of Hollywood and the elite left? They ARE the party.

If the Democrats really were poor, there would only be one party in this country, and that's not the case.

Hey, it would only be fair, after having to listen to eight years of the screeching, nagging and irrational hatred directed at Pres. Bush. I'd say turnaround is fair-play.

Obama doesn't have a chance as long as he's up against Hillary--she's got a better chance at beating a Republican candidate than he does--I believe he's too left wing for the centrists. Besides, I think he needs more experience--dare I say, "gravitas"? :)
