I wish My wife, child and I could enjoy the whole day together but theres this three hour commitment that saps the life energy from my wife and child. By the time my wife gets up to about 1 she has to dedicate to this time sink.

Is it her leaving you at home, or your not going with her that's the real problem?

You know the answer to that. The fact I do not go to church, in your mind, says that those who choose not to attend services are the ones to blame for this colossally scaled waste of time.

Do you realize that every year you spend six and a half days in that building muddling about learning the same things over and over again? Singing the same boring songs and having to put up with the same half wits day in and day out?

They all tell the same handful of stories, feign interest in your life and on top of that have the balls to ask if you masturbate. F*** that.

I am denied the joy of the presence of my family for 3+hours a week because she believes that god lives near a star called kolob. Who's he one at fault gazzy?

You beat me to it. I was going to re-post this in the terrestrial though.

Once you get the Holy Ghost in you, you think church is too short. Theres so many topics and viewpoints to look at the gospel in and through, how can it be boring or repetitive? When in a classroom discussion, how much do you contribute? (In your case, well... do the best you can to be uplifting, ok : ) )

The songs are changed all the time, I frequently have been attempting to sing songs I am unfamiliar with.

And as far as halfwits go, well, it is a school, not a museum.

I am denied the joy of the presence of my family for 3+hours a week because she believes that god lives near a star called kolob. Who's he one at fault gazzy?

Go with them, be with your family. And as Far as Kolob goes, what in your opinion is the appropriate name for where God lives?

Do you think this is unique to the LDS church or something? By the time Protestants go to Sunday School and Worship Service, it's right at about 3 hours too so cry on someone else's shoulder. Let your wife take a good afternoon nap and do something in the evening like eat the candle light dinner you cooked for her or maybe you could suspend your harping and go to church with her on Mother's Day.

Since this is a topic dealing with the LDS Church, I'm moving it to the Terrestrial Forum.

The frontal lobe, a.k.a. "the imagination".
