John spank Mitt for his comment about "I just cannot imagine anything more AWFUL than POLYGAMY"... I guess the deceived Mormon masses that had the misfortune of being descendants of Mormon polygamist took offense at his statement which got their magic undies in a bunch. touuchy touchy!!

They follow up with chasing down Mitt for denying established Mormon doctrine that Jesus will return to the "new"(and improved) Jerusalem in Missouri.

I thought the spot was fair and even. What is the big deal?

Is your life really that dull that you spend seemingly a large amount of spare time involved in the thing you seem to hate most?

The big deal is that Mitt has to misrepresent his Mormon beliefs to appeal the general public.

That article of faith is just a little couplet. I don't know that we teach that, I don't know that much about it.

He could have done better with the New Jerusalem thing. Something like "LDS believe Jesus will return to Jerusalem as prohesied in the Bible. Zecharia talks about the Mt. of Olves and the Messaih descedning from heaven and making an appearence there. But Mormons also beleive the New Jerusalem will be built on the American Continent, that Jesus will rule form both here and in Jerusalem."

As for the Polygamy well I agree with him and many Mormons do as well.

Either he doesn't understand it (highly doubtful because it's something that's taught to us since primary), or he was misrepresenting. (a third alternative would be they edited his remarks to make him look dumb).

Then why are you (and these others) still in the church? I know, as far as you're concerned, it's not because of a lack of understanding of the principles and importance of polygamy. I can't speak for the others (although I think it's highly likely that mitt understands it).

I know my devout and very active LDS parents and sister's family would NEVER vote for Mitt. Religion doesn't Trump all. They detest what recent republican policies have done to this country under the Bush admin, and Jesus Christ Himself could run as a republican right now, and they would probably not vote for him.

(well, maybe they'd go for Jesus Christ, but nobody lower in rank ;)

And the reason I would never vote for Mitt, other than the fact outlined above, is that he, like John McCain, has shown himself to be a political whore.

I know our system tends to create whores, but please refrain from rubbing our noses in it.

(and that goes for you, too, Mrs. Clinton, taking huge bucks from the health insurance industry. Since I called two males whores, I get to call her one, too, without being accused of sexism, right?)
