Porter's Skepticism

Post by _Jersey Girl »

Porter
Big difference between forever-never-mos like you Jgirl and others like Bond and Barrel-o-monkeys is they will NOT be on ANY Mormon discussion site after six, seven, TEN YEARS.

And if they are here that long, I bet they will be far more familiar with Mormonism and the history than you are today.

I find it odd, to say the least, that you continue to imply that I'm not familiar with Mormonism or Mormon history, Porter. I've let those comments slide in the past, but I think it's time to focus on them.

What is it that you'd expect to see?

Lengthy posts containing evidence of how I think Mormonism might fit the description of a Christian cult?

Claims that Joseph Smith perpetuated a fraud on an unsuspecting public?

Me debating those types of issues?

What?

Welcome back, Jersey Girl!

I'm also curious about PP's response.

Good hell. Slow night for you back east? Is the local Walmart closed? TV busted?

This is an internet D I S C U S S I O N board not the street that runs through your neighborhood. Stop taking my posts so personal.

I posted my opinion about how long you have been on these boards. I jabbed your ribs for not know about the "great apostasy" .. A CORE FOUNDATION of LDS theology, that's it, O K?

Thank you all for tuning in, now back to our regularly scheduled pot stirring.

by the way, Out here on the left coast, Skepticsm is spelled Skepticism.

No, Porter. I'm afraid it's not "O K". Had you bothered to read any of my replies to you, you would know that, I ask questions to stimulate discussion, not because I don't know the answers.

So here it is, Porter, your one time good deal.

What topic would you like to see me debate on? Cultism? Joseph Smith as fraud? What?

You got a thread with your name on it just for you to prove I don't know anything about Mormonism or Mormon history.

I personally like the cult topic.

Is that agreeable to you?

Jersey Girl

p.s. Craig Criddle left you a nice post in the "What do never-Mo's bring to the table?" Be sure to read it.

Again, is the cult issue agreeable to you?

And thanks, Porter for the spelling correction. I'll be sure to fix it.

And you're right, Porter. This is a discussion board. Let's discuss. Cults or not?

And how would you like me to lay out the cult issues, Porter? I can do it theologically/doctrinally if you'd like. Lengthy posts? Evidences?

Is that the type of thing you'd expect to see from someone familiar with LDS theology?

What other LDS related topics are you interested in "testing" me on?

You name it.

And just as an aside...I don't know why you expect serious discussion from a never-Mo, when you fail to deliver it yourself. But hey, I can do serious if you'd like. I'll look for your reply to that last one.
