I am NOT defending the Mormon belief that "the mark of Cain" was black skin. That idea is stupid no matter who says it, but I first heard that theory long before I ever heard of a Mormon when I was a little kid. Does anyone know if other religions believe this?

There is little that is new but those that promote and incorporate old racist ideas are just as evil as the originator of the idea.

Some Memes are benign and other memes such as the mark of cain BS are destructive hateful memes.

What is a "meme"? Do you know? If so, can you explain it to me?

I do! I do!

It's a mythical creature invented by the British fictionalist Richard Dawkins.

And expounded upon by none other than......Dr. Susan Blackmore, the "empiricist". Her indulgence here is quite okay, because it's a "scientific indulgence". Still, no-one has seen memes, and no one knows what a meme is. For all we know it could be the "me-me" generation". But Dr. Blackmore insists this is real, so much so that she's written a whole book on something no one has ever seen, or proven to exist, nor can be tested by "empirical science". It's a theory - with a "scientific" halo, of course. Rubber-stamped by Merc, mind you, the man who "shed superstition" long ago.

Here is a version of the "meme". I invent the yo-yo, or the Rubik's Cube (even though my name is Ray A). It becomes a fad, worldwide. How is this fad passed on? By memes, stupid. Everyone knows that. The mechanism of this "passing on" is not explained, we must believe in memes", and by doing so - they become real. How dare anyone question the theory of memes. After all - Dawkins said so.

So it must be so.

I'd have to use big words and talk slow, so no. I can't. More like I do not want to.
