Board Access Problems?

Is it just me? Over the last couple days, accessing the board has been spotty, and when I do get in, it seems pretty slow.
I just got this error message within the last half hour or so:
Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Lost connection to MySQL server during query in /home/.liability/keene/mormondiscussions.com/discuss/db/mysql4.php on line 48
Warning: mysql_error(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /home/.liability/keene/mormondiscussions.com/discuss/db/mysql4.php on line 330
Warning: mysql_errno(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /home/.liability/keene/mormondiscussions.com/discuss/db/mysql4.php on line 331
phpBB : Critical Error
Could not connect to the database
Anybody else?

This has been an ongoing problem for me......I'm sure keene will say "SWITCH TO FIREFOX!!!"
Actually it's been fairly good the past few months.....the past couple of days have been the exception rather than the norm.

I always run MDB through Firefox, and I also got this message. I think it's an issue that sporadically occurs with this Phpbb software. It happens on MAD once in a while as well.

Oh, I'm using Firefox - that other stuff is junk.
I'm also getting this:
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator,
webmaster@mormondiscussions.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
I agree that things are usually good on this board, which makes these problems all the more annoying. Can somebody just lay hands on the server and heal it?

These problems have nothing to do with what browser you're using. They are all server errors.
Tell Keene to program the board a REAL language, like ASP.Net!!! None of this PHP/MySql crap!! :)

Be careful of the criticisms. This is voluntary, and so far I think Porters the only one whos contributed in a monetary way.

No intention to criticize, believe me! I was just wondering if I was the only one (and should thus try to find a solution on my end), or if it was a broader problem that needed some attention. I appreciate all that Keene does to keep this thing running.

Although there are times of inoperability and sluggishness, it is still not as problem riddled and slow as the MAD board. It would be nice if the problems with both these boards could somehow be worked out.

I don't see Keene very often, but I will attempt to stop off at his house on Thursday afternoon at some point and direct him to this thread.
Hope everything gets worked out.
